Just what we expected from a Residence Inn by Marriott - which is why we chose this hotel when visiting relatives in Mt. Juliet. The in-room kitchen and dining equipment were adequate - especially since we largely ate out at one of the many local restaurants. Well pleased.

Apparently when we checked in the room, it hadn’t been cleaned properly as there was a sticky substance on the desk and the floor in the kitchen. We did not notice until we had fully unpacked that there were ants in the kitchen on the counter. We used wipes to clean the counter and then had to leave for a conference. When we returned there were more ants on the counter and also on the desk and chairs. We let the front desk know when we returned but they said the cleaning staff was gone and offered to move us to another room. We were traveling with family with a 4 month old in the adjacent room so we needed to be close to them and we had already unpacked everything. The cleaning staff did not show until Sunday morning at 11:40AM. We were only staying until Monday. Not acceptable, but at check out the staff was nice and offered points for the inconveniences. However, the hotel breakfast was really nice the chairs and tables again could have been cleaned better as well.

There were ants that begin to appear in the room however we told the staff and they took care of the situation immediately

The property is one of our favorites and have stayed there several times. The room (suite) they put us in at this time is disappointing! Far from elevator contrary to my request due to knee problems (lied to at check in by young man who checked us in that the room he assigned was close to the elevator!) we had to go 2 hallways to the last room on the floor!!! Bathroom has permanent black area and dots (maybe mold?). Door knob is extremely difficult to open. Opened drywall in the hallway between our room and the one before us. Looks like dungeon at night!

1. Room cleaning service was not provided throughout the stay inspite of requesting it at the time of checking in. 2. The layout of the room was changed by a previous guest apparently and it was very uncomfortable to navigate with TV cabinet moved up close to the bed. 3. Shower water was always lukewarm and never hot.

"Nice property with ZERO customer service."

We stayed for five days. Told housekeeping we did not want any service. After one day we needed towels, so I called the front desk. After one hour no towels. Waited for another hour and went to front desk and asked to speak to manager. She apologized and said she would speak to staff? I guess you have to tell people to do their jobs. Two days later I called again for towels. Waited one hour, no towels. Called back no towels for another hour. Same clerk asked? you did not get towels? If I had towels to take a shower instead of waiting two hours do you think I would call you? Twice in two days I had to wait two hours to take a shower to leave my room? Brought up towels, chips and a water. Really? Cant stay there. As a former worker for Marriott and now a Bonvoy member, this is a DISGRACE.
