"Not great"

2.0

Very disappointing. I can’t recommend, unfortunately. Just marginally better than sleeping in the terminal, and for $400, I don’t think it was worth it.

"Best blast from the past!"

10.0

This hotel is like walking into the 1960’s. It’s such a fun visual treat. Everything is really clean and well kept. The rooms are very comfortable, nice beds and beautiful bathrooms. The staff is also excellent!

"Day Pass to visit the Pool."

8.0

I’d seen reviews of this hotel on YouTube and it looked absolutely amazing so on our recent trip to New York when we had a late flight I booked a day pass to use the pool as knew the kids would love it. Hotel did not disappoint and the theming is spectacular. Staff were very friendly at the pool and they stored our luggage for us, pool lovely and warm and is just iconic looking over the runways at JFK. We got some drinks too which I thought were very reasonably priced. Only downside was the lack of changing facilities / showers - the only place to change is a restroom / toilet and nowhere to shower unless you pay extra for a gym pass. The chlorine was strong so certainly could have done with the ability to wash off following our visit but really enjoyed the visit and the kids absolutely loved it.

"Unfriendly and unhelpful"

2.0

Paid over $1,000 for 1130 pm check in and 6 pm checkout the next day. No cold water coming out of any faucet. Just piping hot water. No one offered to change my room as it was full and the worst part they never even sent someone to try and rectify it. So I couldn’t shower and had to brush my teeth with hot water. Trading on their ambiance just doesn’t do it for me

"Good not great!"

6.0

Good but not great, must do for aviation afficionados one time and done. Paid upwards of $500.00 plus for Deluxe runway view room, however fridge was broken, and one of the towels provided had stains (seemed like blood). I absolutely loved the theme and history of the hotel, location is fantastic but for paying so much money, I am not able to see the value. Totally a one and done to get to experience it but for the money I would have expected more attention to details and better care of the wear and tear showing.

"Superior in all respects!"

10.0

The location was just perfect for us, but the TWA theme reeled us in! We were thrilled that every venue we tried at the hotel was a pleasant and delicious experience thanks to friendly staff and yummy food and drink! Our flight arrived at noon, so we paid $25 for an early check in which was very worth it since we had been up very early that day. We loved eating at the Sunken Lounge, got coffee at Joe’s Coffee stand, and then went to Connie the airplane for cocktails before an amazing and delightful dinner at Paris Cafe. The bartender at Connie was so friendly and she created her own mocktail version of my husband’s Moscow Mule and it was ANAZING - it should be on the menu! Our dinner was magical because every item we ordered at Paris Cafe was served at the perfect temperature and tasted even better! You will not be disappointed! We are at the Food Hall for breakfast and had a delicious spinach and cheese crepe with mushrooms! I also had a chocolate Mister Softee which I forgot to mention, which tasted like yummy chocolate mousse and hit the spot for a quick snack. The rooms were modern and fun. Giant A380 airplanes were headed directly into our room until they turned at the last minute to go to the gate!! Get an end room with a runway room for the same experience! Night and day they kept coming and it was fun to see them serviced. We will definitely be back!!

"TWA Hotel is more than just a regular hotel, it's an experience."

10.0

TWA Hotel is more than just a regular hotel, it's an experience. I'm not sure why there were negative reviews. The hotel was very clean, and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. The deluxe double runway view room was comfortable and modern. I highly recommend the runway view room because you have a view of the planes all day and night. The windows are soundproof, so you don't hear anything from outside. I felt very safe, and it was convenient for this trip since I wanted to be in Queens. The rooftop pool is nice and heated, more like a Jacuzzi at 95 degrees in the winter. From the rooftop pool, you have a view of the planes and can see the flights getting ready for takeoff. The Sweet N Glow Salon is an Instagram-ready photo spot, along with the Connie Airplane. The Connie Airplane has a cute cocktail lounge inside, open from 4 pm to 10 pm daily. Valet parking is $80. The pool is complimentary for hotel guests from 7 am to 10:45 am daily. The cover charge for the infinity pool is $25 for adult guests and $10 for children. Non-hotel guests also have access to the pool for $50 for adults and $10 for kids. There is a pool bar with food and drinks, and towels are available for use by the pool. A plus for TWA is that you can pay for late checkout until 6 pm if it's available for a fee.

"Great atmosphere ruined by people sleeping everywhere"

6.0

I love this hotel. The charm, the preservation of the design and architecture. AND the convenience, I can roll out of bed and board my flight in a matter of minutes. BUT!! Beware, my biggest and it is big, complaint is that the hotel lets people sleep anywhere they want in the common areas. Delayed or cancelled flight, no worries, just walk on over to the TWA hotel and find somewhere to sleep in the number of nooks, exhibits, and lounge areas. Seriously, any time of day or night, you will find people curled up on their luggage asleep. I can't think of any other hotel that allows non-paying guests to sleep in the common areas. Actually, I can't think of any hotel that let's anyone sleep in the common areas.
