"Won’t be back"

6.0

This is a fabulous museum. So very cool! As a hotel it’s a big disappointment. Small rooms, very clean but very boring. -Very few outlets -No coffee -No glasses It’s like a cheap motel next to a theme park.

"A brief but disappointing experience"

4.0

Take a look above regarding elevators, front desk attitude ect. Long walk from the Air Train station, unsuitable for seniors or guests requiring assistance

"Nostalgic Hotel"

10.0

Travel back to the golden era of early travel. I used to fly on TWA back in the day, this hotel brings back many great memories.

"Great place to unwind post-trip"

10.0

The TWA Hotel was like an oasis from the hustle and bustle of JFK. The rooms and lounges were comfortable and all the staff we encountered were helpful and kind. It made me wonder if staff were given special training in dealing with jet-lagged customers. Would definitely stay here again or utilize during a long layover!

"Pool was closed!"

2.0

Took our airplane obsessed kid there for a day trip from Manhattan to enjoy the pool and watch some airplane. Called ahead, were told the pool was open and heated year round. Arrived to find the pool closed! Spent north of $500 to walk around the hotel. Very disappointing!

"Jetsons come to life"

10.0

This place is amazing! So much history and it felt like a time machine. We loved exploring all of the displays. We had great cocktails in the big lounge and breakfast in the Paris cafe the next morning. Check in/out was easy and efficient. We appreciated the very clear directions and signs for finding the hotel after a long day of flying. I'd stay here again!

"Loved it!"

10.0

I loved coming a day early on our Europe trip so we could stay here one night! There is so much to do just at the hotel. It was so much fun going to all the places. Definitely check out the pool and Connie!!!

"Rooms are OK, but expensive for what it is"

8.0

The hotel (actually the TWA terminal) is iconic which is why we stayed here. Room was good (view of runways) but expensive. Food is just average in the restaurant. Best part was the historical pictures of TWA as well as the display of TWA uniforms.

"Overpriced, Slipping Quality"

4.0

Ugh, I want this hotel to be good SO MUCH! This was our third stay, and we can really feel like the loss of quality is happening over the years. The pool was closed while we were there- for planned reasons- but no one informed us when booking, they weren't willing to do anything to make up for it--- plus the Sunken Lounge and most of the main area were closed off for a wedding. So there go two of the highlights I was looking for to defend the $640/night price-tag... including their sneaky $19+tax 'facility fee'. Like, maybe make up for it with a small guest-only happy hour? Or like, provide an alternate place to go? Cocktails are all served in plastic, which- alright- fine- you don't want broken glass everywhere, but we're adults and all the advertisements show a Martini Glass as part of the concept, so- getting it in a plastic tumbler isn't what I signed up for. In the room, the pillows were awful and small, and there were bright yellow urine stains on the toilet. The shower could use some grout love too- discolored grout is gross. No body lotion, no coffee, the mini-fridge was broken... Just like, what am I doing with my life paying this much for such a mid-room? Oh right- the airplanes. We DID get to see the airplanes from our room, but there isn't room service and like I said- the roof deck + pool were closed for planned maintenance so mostly it was laying in bed to see the airport at all. All-in we probably spent $1k for the night with dinner as part of it. It was an anniversary dinner, which we indicated on the reservation, but no one said anything to us during the meal at all. The meal was FINE-- but pricey. And we're world traveling manhattanites, so if WE think it's expensive, then you probably will too. I only write this in the hopes that they will address some of this. I WANT to come back. I even am happy to splash out $1k for one night at the facility- but for that, I want to feel like I had a special visit and that I get what I paid for. Just did not get what I paid for. :(
