The location is lovely, a rustic period stone building overlooking the village green on a quiet B road. The room was large with a comfortable bed, and the food in the restaurant was really good, interesting dishes, well executed and at a reasonable price. Parking was easy.

The room suffered from the frequently encountered curse of modern hotels, inadequate bedside lighting for comfortable reading in bed. The amenities in the room could also have been better for a hotel in this sort of price bracket - for example, a pod type coffee maker would be more appropriate than a sachet of bog standard instant coffee.
