The Doyle Hotel

This hotel has gorgeous spaces, but absolutely no signs of life in them. We were there for parents weekend when the hotel was basically sold out and yet the lobby was always empty. There’s no front desk attendant. In fact there’s no front desk. Everything is digital. The most attentive employee was the valet attendant that worked for a subcontractor. He was there to chat and recommend a dinner spot. I think because of the rooftop bar, the lobby is just a pass-through, but it needs music or some buzzy bartenders or something. We won’t be back.

I contacted someone at the hotel after checking in before 8:30. There were no Kleenex in the bathroom dispenser and someone's dirty shirt was left glaringly on the closet floor. This was really the icing on the cake after a difficult experience with your reservation staff (finally resolved after MY persistence). The bathroom floor, up against the baseboards, was just gross, like no one cared about cleanliness. Really. You guys need to get it together. My experience when the hotel was the Quirk were excellent. Now, pretty disappointing.

We liked location, price, cleanliness, decor . There many restaurants, shops and little stores nearby plus it’s a short walk to the open downtown mall.

It’s odd not to have any front desk and someone to connect with during our stay. Yet, we had no problems at check-in or otherwise.

I had a wonderful stay at The Doyle Hotel. The entire experience felt welcoming from start to finish. LaTonya at the front desk stood out immediately. She is warm, pleasant, and leads by example. You can tell she understands hospitality and supports her team well. Her professionalism and kindness set the tone for the entire stay. The staff as a whole is fantastic. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and accommodating. Every detail felt thoughtful and well maintained. The Doyle Hotel delivers both comfort and great service. I would gladly stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.
