The Wellington Arms - Basingstoke-Reading

The aesthetic was lovely, very cosy and relaxing bar and dining area, nice convenient room close to all facilities and good car park. TV with bed area was perfect, nice large screen. The Caesar salad was delicious!

There was no Malibu or raspberry gin in the bar, the only two drinks I like and that all pubs stock routinely. The food menu was extremely limited, I had to order a salad but they were kind enough to add chicken. The WiFi was hit and miss, but could have been down to the extreme heat. Bathroom was an accessible one, so not very attractive or welcoming just functional.

Comfortable bed. Good breakfast.

No lift to the first floor. Random noise coming from the washbasin when water is drained from other bathrooms. Different check out times for indirect bookings! Overhead shower head blocked with limescale.

Alles war gemütlich, sauber und zum erholen auf einer langen Reise sehr geeignet.

The room was lovely. Very welcoming for our dog with treats. The food in the restaurant was amazing. The reception staff also recommended a local 3 Mile walk with our doggy which was very scenic.

Just the main road but it didn’t put us off.
