Nyhavn City Apartments

The property is in an excellent location - close enough to walk to attractions without being in the noisy parts of the city. The property was spotlessly clean, exceptionally well presented, very comfortable and we felt very safe there. The owners had left some handy daily items - plasters etc - for use as needed. The soft towels and elegant toiletries were a great bonus.

2 very minor things - 1) it was lovely weather in Copenhagen during our visit. This made the apartment very warm at night. Some fans/air conditioners would have made it more comfortable to sleep in the heat. 2) although the courtyard is private there are windows overlooking; a curtain or blind on the main door would ensure privacy especially if using the toilet during the night or exciting the shower in a bathrobe.

Nice and quiet entrance to the unit with little courtyard. Separate toilet from the shower is useful with 5 of us. So close to the canals and Nyhavn. Lots of little touches that made a difference for us like shoe rack at front door, umbrellas for just in case, ice bags, spices in cupboards etc.

Stairs are a bit steep for little kids with big gap in handrails but was aware from photos to begin with so just kept alert.

Location was good. Central city, close to subway and restaurant district.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. In my opinion the pictures online don't clearly represent the apartment. The pictures are mixed in with the 3 bedroom apartment. Very cramped. The double bed is in a room with a large couch and an enormous wardrobe. This was supposed to double as the shared lounge area. Totally inadequate. Located on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Although it did not specify that there was an elevator, I could expect the host to mention that one was not available; in this case, for the benefit of older travellers. There were no cups/mugs provided. Glasses were provided but not fit for purpose when drinking hot tea. Please have the kettle fixed.

Fabulous, safe and quiet location. Super convenient to everywhere, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Would have loved to stay longer.

Not great air circulation, so it was very hot inside, and with the windows open, we had constant bird squeaking. But nothing much to be done about that…

Great location perfect for family with older kids or couples.

The apartment is in a great location with in walking distance to attractions and public transport. The hosts were responsive and helpful. Easy check-in/out, very clean with extra towels. The kitchen was handy and the wifi worked well.

The single beds were uncomfortable. The building echoed and you could hear people going up/downstairs and chatting in the stairwell regularly, particularly late at night/early morning.

Great location. Comfortable appartement with 3 bedrooms. Good beds, nice shower. Everything was clean. Check-in was easy. Check out too. Good contact with the owner. Quick replies via the messaging system of Booking.

The room on the first floor isn't very dark:. sunlight is coming through the doors from the living room. That could improve. Mind that you are at the bottom of an apartment building. Just outside there are like 10 containers for trash. People use them frequently (occasionally at midnight or very early in the morning).
