Nyhavn City Apartments

The apartment is so central and we walked to every attraction. It is a quiet area and beautifully clean. The hosts were very helpful with all my questions and the apartment had everything we needed. I don't know why it doesn't get 9+ every time! It was bright and comfortable and just amazing!

Although fab in every way, it was a little warm and we couldn't locate the thermostat to adjust, although this is not a complaint as I could easily have messaged the owners as I am sure they would have advised pretty quickly.

Great location, good value for money. Everything you need in mini version.

Tv didn’t work, no regular tv stations just apps that didn’t seem to work, but that could have been my lack of competence!

The location of the accommodation was excellent. Easy walk to canal, metro and restaurants. Very secure apartment.

The noise from the upstairs apartment could be heard at all hours. Very narrow staircases and no toilet or washroom downstairs, the floors creaked in every room.

It was spotlessly clean, the location was excellent for getting around Copenhagen. Get the train from the airport & 10 minute walk to apartment. It’s an older building, very modern inside, plenty character. We took our 85 year old mother-in-law, she slept upstairs in the bedroom on the main floor, the youngsters (mid 50’s) went to the rooms downstairs.

Nothing - it met our needs perfectly.

The location was excellent. Close to the harbour edge. Easy walk to the most central Metro stop. Close to many restaurants, although the Nyhavn area is best avoided in our opinion. An easy walk to many of the Copenhagen highlights. The shower was good and hot water supply was also good.

The Mini Suite was just too small. With a standard double bed and single bunk above it really didn't work for two 78 year olds. We couldn't make the double work because one person had to climb over the other to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. The bed mattresses we not that comfortable. The lower bed had to be the couch during the day. This meant one person sleeping in the upper bunk and going to the toilet in the middle of the night was no fun. We did no cooking. The kitchen space was too cramped. There is no handbasin. The kitchen sink had to be used for personal toilet and washing cups etc. The 4 flight climb to the apartment (which we knew about) was steeper than expected.

The mini suite was clean, had everything we needed. I traveled with my adult daughter. The mini suite had a low single bed with shelves, lamp and outlets and a platform above it with the same setup. I was glad it wasn't a bunk bed, because if one of us turned around, the other person wasn't shaking in their bed. The location was excellent: it was within walking distance of all the places we wanted to go and visit, very close to Nyhavn. I felt safe in the neighborhood.

The whole suite was small, but as we spent most of our time outside the room it was sufficient. It's on the fifth floor (American floors, 4th floor European floors), 76 steps without elevator, so you have to be in fairly good shape. There was only one set of towels for each of us for a 6 night stay. I didn't ask for more, so they might have given us more if we asked. There's a tiny kitchen area that's also being used as bathroom sink. We never tried to cook there, but it probably would be challenging.
