Amazing Sea Views Luxury Guest House

Below review - not sure why, but have never had an experience like this, even after travelling & staying in different types of accommodations for about a month?? So strange compared to advert. Maybe new business. VIEWS were definately worth it! The price was great. It was a lovely big house to share kitchen(utensils only) / living area/extra bathroom (if wanted to) with 4 separate/security-locked room accommodations. Off-street parking available, but the driveway very very steep & minimal parking space at top - coming down would be very challenging. & carrying any luggage to house & room was good for aerobic & body workout. Pls be careful if anyone may suffer with health issues - very challenging. Received emailed instructions well-timed - Called owner as confusing when 3 previous unlocking systems still on wall outside main door entrance, Owner helped to make sense of using a hand swipe to awaken the doorlock screen to enter your main entrance door passcode (no sounds on pin, but worked). The door lock only secured at bottom & top part not secured....not sure why, but still worked! Yeah!! 👍 The Room Lock was the same, but very secure . Room was lovely, big enough, large heater + electric blankets & the balcony VIEWS were gorgeous. Bed comfy with side furniture - okay. Large hallway cupboard storage, both sides. Owner/Staff - very helpful. Besides the View, not encouraged to stay again - the cleaning & bathroom issues did not fit what was what expected from Advertisement. Hope you can update & produce a better experience for another.

Not sure why, but had a few issues with this accommodation. A few safety issues - 1) found a large puddle of water on the desk & found it was from the kettle 😲 checked inside & rusted at bottom........very unsafe.....text owner & thankfully able to grab the plastic kettle in another room + the tea/coffee/sugars, as none in my room. Placed leaking kettle in kitchen. Done!! 2) Steep stairs that lead to house - no lights working at night, so be very careful & use 🔦 or phone. Text owner about this. 3) Bathroom - shower & some sink areas - needed a good scrub where the mould had gathered, half way up sides & tap areas. A good 🪥 would do really well. 4) Towels - very worn, thin & faded in areas - not sure if these towels put in room by accident. No hand towels. Toiletries - in shower, one very large hand soap & one very large shampoo/ conditioner(?). So moved soap bottle for sink use & for shower use...????.. The entrance & driveway - great for mountain goats,

There really wasn't much to like other than the view.

The guest house was very dirty, on our stay there was mold everywhere in the bathroom, mirrors were dirty, rubbish was left in the bins, tampon wrappers on the floor, no bed was provided on the first night for our child, carpet wasn't cleaned, kitchen was filthy with food crumbs and sticky substances all over the benches. No teatowl was provided to dry dishes. We washed everything before using because the crockery was so dirty, and plates were clearly not cleaned properly either. The dish sponge provided was filthy, we were forced to wash with our hands and dry our dishes with our body towels. On that note, no hand towel was provided in the bathroom or face washer. It was stripped of bare essentials. Including only one chair for the dining table. Which of course was broken. Towels were stained and clearly, not inroned from the wrinkles on the sheets either. We pre organised a bed with the vendor and I even messaged 24 hours before our stay to ensure it was there. On arrival, no bed was there, our son was forced to sleep on the couch. No compensation was given and was ignored by the vendors in regards to this when asked. The vendor suggested using clean sheets, which were left in the direr from the cleaners upstairs. We wrapped towels inside the sheets to make a doona, but this was far from ideal. This was far less from a backpackers stay. Other stayers upstairs were very upset on our second night with the cleanliness and lack of care, too. They actually broke in the window upstairs because the cleaners had put the wrong pin code in. I would not recommend staying here unless you were desperate for a bed and not worried about cleanliness. I'm surprised these guys aren't shut down. We won't be booking anything other than a hotel from now on. This was a horrible experience.

Very poor attempt at being a guest house. No tv, you are given a paper cup with instant coffee, no cutlery, no milk, . They have put locks on the 3 bedrooms so you will have to share kitchen and bathroom with the other guests if they stay. I didn’t even bother staying.
