W15 Hanthana Estate Kandy

Wat een parel. 20 min van het centrum van Kandy maar de rit meer dan waard. Het uitzicht, zeer vriendelijk personeel en de heerlijke keuken. Je wordt er letterlijk in de watten gelegd.

Eigenlijk niks. Misschien dat de accomodatie wat ver van de stad ligt (smalle kronkel bergweg) maar als je eenmaal bent, wil je gewoon niet meer weg.

The staff was not cooperative .. one staff even opened the door in my room without knocking while I was changing ! Honestly the staff ate the worst . I only stayed one night as I have booked my holiday in the stunning Santani resort however all flights with 4 hrs road trip to kandy let me to arrive at 8pm so wanted to go a day earlier so I don’t lose a day in Santani.

W15 Hanthana is an incredible place with stunning views and the best service. Everyone was so attentive and thoughtful – a special thank you to Hastha, our wonderful butler, and to Sheriff, Manjula, Keerthi, and Navod for making our stay so special. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and they gave us an upgrade on our second night which was very kind. They truly think of everything – even hot water bottles in the bed at turndown! It’s a bit out of the way from main Kandy and reached by a very bumpy road but was fine for us as we only stayed 2 nights and we had a driver. We’d recommend going all-inclusive if you plan to do the hike and jeep tours. The hike is moderate with some steep areas, and long trousers are a must due to leeches. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast and rice & curry. Overall, a perfect stay – beautiful setting, amazing staff, and unforgettable experience.
