From location, to food to staff all was superb

The staff are just incredible, Manjula and Navod took such great care of us. The manager is so warm and welcoming, too. The location is amazing. It’s close enough to Kandy or other attractions but far enough to feel like you’re in the middle of nature and enjoying peace and quiet. Our hike with Aju was wonderful, he is so knowledgable. Food was amazing! Some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka - the pastries and fresh bread we had were exceptional. Also the room we stayed in was gorgeous (stable suite) - lovely decor, fittings to a high spec, and the bed & linen was so comfy.

Honestly, everything was perfect. We can’t fault it.

This is an amazing property, oozing with character and history. The rooms in the main house are huge, well appointed, and super comfortable. The common areas are appealing and relaxing. Meals are wonderful. The grounds are large and fun to wander around. The views are stunning, even at night, thanks to the nearby temple with its lights. No one was using the pool, as it was a little cool most of the time, but it looked nice. One day I walked to the tea museum and back -- about 40 minutes each way. It's a lot of fun to be up in the mountains above Kandy.

The view was beautiful. Staff was wonderful and welcoming. The actual building was gorgeous - great decor.

The dinners. The food was very sub par. Very disappointed. Especially since you are kind of stuck there. It was my birthday and was really looking forward to a special meal. Have eaten better street food. For the amount we paid - felt like the meals should be outstanding. They also ran out of beer! (There is also a gun club - you could hear the guns go off which kind of ruined the tranquil nature of the place)

The staff and service were below par. Not attentive. Slow. Disinterested The hotel is marketed as a luxurious experience with top-tier butler service and exceptional dining, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. Prior to this, we had just stayed at a farm stay resort that was superb, so our expectations were high. While the property itself may exude elegance, the butler service lacked attentiveness, and the level of personalized care wasn’t as refined as advertised. Additionally, the food, which was supposed to be a highlight, was underwhelming. For the price and the promise of a high-end experience, I expected more attention to detail. It’s a decent stay, but not quite the ultra-luxurious experience it claims to be

Everything was excellent! Very beautiful estate, beautiful gardens, excellent service, very good food! Our room was very big, nicely decorated, amenities and bed sheets of high quality. One of the best places we have ever stayed!
