W15 Hanthana Estate Kandy

Ambiance and the location, delicious food, friendly staff ,everything was perfect 👍

W15 Hanthana Estate is Paradise! The rooms, the furniture, the decoration, the details, the view etc. are so wonderful! But most of all we love the service from the staff, who are real gentlemen: Seriff, Hantha, Manjulla, Niroshan. Sheriff informed us about upgrade of our room. It was so nice to inform us about upgrade room on my birthday! he was also so good explaining about dishes for dinner and lunch. Hantha gave my husband unique experience (he teaches my husband to eat traditional sri—lanka dish by hand), my husband asked him. Hantha was very good and delicate teacher. We also asked him a lot of questions about the Estate and he told us very interesting history about Estate. Niroshan brought us a book with historical photoes of building process of the Estate. Manjulla is a good coctail mixer, he very attentively listened our preferences and made us super cocktails. We spent wonderful days with those unique gentelmen. Bless them God. We will come back

Highly enjoyable place, friendly staff, warm and homely atmosphere, comfortable mattresses, good location (just 20 min drive away from Kandy city), lovely views, beautifully designed interior of the rooms and lobby

The choice of food is limited, that has probably been the only small disadvantage during the whole stay, but I guess that’s the common issue with all the boutique hotels

The main mansion is situated high up in the tea estates so you benefit from fantastic views! Very newly renovated with a keen attention to detail. Rooms are gorgeous.

My only negative comment is that on arrival for dinner we weren't offered a wine list or drinks menu, we were only asked for our food order. We didn't want to drink anyways but surprised we weren't offered the drinks menu or asked whether we wanted drinks.

EVERYTHING!!! We felt like we were in heaven after a long drive from the airport. Staff welcomed us with a welcome drink and snack. They had our beautiful room ready. The room itself was absolutely beautiful. The bed slept so nice and cushions were just right! We had the full board options and we enjoyed an ice cold wine (reasonably priced) on the most beautiful terrace overlooking amazing views of the mountain range and the tea plantations. In the far distance you can also see a temple. I did not make use of the pool but if you have time, this is a stunning place to unwind. The food was OUTSTANDING! And the staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our stay SO special. The manager Sidath and his staff is next level! With a wealth of knowledge of the hospitality industry he had the midis touch. Even arranged a very special dinner on the deck area. Chamila was a wonderful waiter and he made us feel so welcomed. He also has great wine knowledge. Nothing was too much for this team! We had a lovely drive through the plantation with the excursion team and what a great experience this was! We will be back for sure!!
