The place looks tired on the outside but on the inside it was all different and the staff were great. The tv only had prime

The two rooms we stayed in certainly had the wow factor.

There were a few little issues in each room which could be sorted easily.

Good sized room. Private seating area above beer garden which caught the sun and some breeze. Food was good. Especially pizza and creme brulee. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast hamper was a different touch but the food was good and enough of it.

Fan and aircon didn't work at all and it was very sunny during our stay. Windows were small so it got a bit hot unless we had door open. Not ideal. We could only get TV to work on random Netflix channels. Not a big problem for us but maybe for a family.

The size of the room and bar lady was lovely. Always helpful.. Breakfast came in a lovely picnic basket with lots of things in, which was nice.. I wanted to tell them that it looked lovely and it was, but just to let you know, the nice teaspoons were to big to get in your yoghurt jars and pop some napkins in please... Just things you would have no way of knowing. ..

Tiles off the wall in toilet. No table to eat breakfast anywhere other then on the bed. Our shower didn't work so they gave us access to a second room where we could use there bath. But I'm on crutches and couldn't get in the bath. Hence why we booked a room with a shower.So it was strip washes for me. They did give us a refund of some of the room for this. So now we had two rooms with 2 front doors. . They only tried one door and said they couldn't get into it to clean it as we left the key in it.... It surprised me that no one thought to check the 2nd door. They give us the two sets. So no room cleaned till the Fri day before check out. Had to give other keys back aswell as people were staying in the other room after cpl days.. . Due to leave sat but Fri night. We couldn't shower, or even strip wash ,, or even get the kettle under the sink to fill it up as the sink was so small. So had enough by this point. So we left tea time Fri.. I was looking forward in sitting on the decking with our drinks. But it was that dirty and full of cobwebs and leaves we couldn't get on it. Shame really that could have easily been done. Also we found that the bar sign out in the garden was pointing up the steps to our decking and room.. we got a shock when a man walked in wanting a pint and we both had nothing on, glad my hubby was closest. ...so moving on from that. I was disappointed in our stay. Yes they knocked some money off our stay because of having no shower. But it wasn't cleaned very well. There was loads of cobwebs above the bed which I got down. Behind the beside cabinets . Alot of people come here and use the beer garden ,why wouldn't you. So it does get busy and noisy.so you had to keep your curtains close so people wouldn't look in at you. We had already been court out once already ...

We really enjoyed our stay here, the facilities were amazing, lovely spacious room and the bed was super comfy. We travelled down to Minehead to take part in the 50km ultra marathon so to have a comfy bed and a great bath was vital! We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and was blown away by how tasty the food was, it was well presented and cooked perfectly. Would absolutely stay here again!

Few issues with the room that are being rectified now

The breakfast hamper was superb - thank you. The room was spacious and great. The exterior decor was a little ‘dated’ and perhaps needs a little attention - including the balcony
