Herzegovina Lodges Boracko Jezero

This lodge was in a beautiful location very close to the lake. The room itself was very well equipped, clean and spacious. Lake access was was a very short walk, and the lake is stunning! Communication with the host was excellent.

I was there just out of season, meaning that a lot of the activities advertised were not available. This was a shame as I chose this place partly because of the option to kayak on the lake. It would have been helpful to tell me this in advance.

The hosts were lovely and friendly towards us. The location was beautiful with a big communal garden area. The room was large and we kept warm on a cold evening.

We were surprised by the number of hidden or inflated costs associated with our stay. It became the most expensive place we stayed in 10 days in BiH. The property is rural and there was no mention of parking fees but when we checked out we were charged 7 euro a day to park on grass. We also ate at the property one evening. It was delicious, but humble: we had one course and no alcohol and were surprised to be charged 22 euro each. Finally we were charged 11 euro per person per day for continental breakfast - not crazy but a little steep. None of these costs were made clear to us beforehand, we only found out how expensive everything had been when we got the bill. We had thought we booked an affordable property so we didn’t mind a few things in our room being an issue like limited hot water. Overall we still had a nice time, we would just suggest guests check prices of extras.

My one-day stay at Herzegovina Lodges Boracko Jezero in April was amazing! The tranquil lake and cozy lodge were perfect, and the owner’s wife made us delicious fresh Bosnian breads that stole the show. Warm hospitality and great local food—I only wish I could’ve stayed longer! Highly recommend.

To be honest, Nothing!

Gorgeous location, very quiet. Rooms are simple but comfortable. Common kitchen is a nice way to meet other guests and food is simple and good.

This is a beautiful garden paradise. The accommodation is simple and beautifully curated. The location is magical. The hosts deliver old school hospitality that is hard to find anywhere today.

This is a fantastic place that makes you feel right at home. The owners are very relaxed people, and meeting them almost felt like reconnecting with a forgotten family. Breakfast and dinner is highly recommended at this place, delicious home cooking. It’s the kind of place you don’t really want to leave, and when you do you know you’ll come back eventually.

The place, the lodges, the hosts, everything was exceptional! If you are looking for an outstanding place to stay in the area, with your partner or family, look no further. First time I have no comments to add to a place and the host who are formidable people. Will surely go back there!

Beautiful spacious place with wonderfull hosts. It is next to beautiful Boracko lake, even though we were going for a swim to Neretva river, 15 minutes from the accomodation. We stayed in the bungalow, which was very spacious and nicely decorated. You may find all basic things you need including small fridge and a cattle. There is a bigger fridge in the house next to the bungalow if you need more space. Everything was clean, beds were very comfortable, and even though there is no air-conditioning, you actually don't need it. Hosts were wonderfull and gave us all necessary instructions.

I asked the host if we could check in early and we did however we got a different room from the one we booked. We didn’t have our own kitchen and had to use the shared one.

Overpriced, the place could have been cleaner for example the glasses that were left there were dirty. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom (seriously 65€/night ???)
