water not hot enough to wash up even with dial on max - hence pots and pans needed a scrub on arrival

We thought the cottage was very nice,it was reasonably clean on arrival,but it was VERY VERY VERY DUSTY…….One of the small towels left was in an awful condition,it needed binning,and the towels smelt,as if they had been put away damp……The beds were very comfortable,but the insides of the wardrobes and drawers all need a good clean…………It was very well equipped,but there was No casserole dishes,which we would have liked ,so we could have cooked a beef casserole and other dishes…..We have never been anywhere where this isn’t any,so we weren’t happy about this……I think possibly due to the location,it should be pointed out that it could be a problem ,for people with mobility issues……We are fit and healthy,but the hill up is VERY STEEP.Plus the staircase could be a challenge to the less mobile ,as it twists and turns……Also I just remembered ,that there were several kitchen items we had to wash before we could use…..And on arrival, there were so many leaves banked up around the front door,which isn’t a very good impression on arrival…..My husband had to sweep up,this shouldn’t have really happened…….Also my husband has just reminded me,the sink in the bathroom does not drain away very quickly,neither does the shower,so had to take out the plug type thing,to let the water out,but left a slight smell…..

Lovely cottage, clean and tidy. Not too far to the town centre and pubs. All downhill so that was a blessing.

Unfortunately due to my medical condition (COPD, and bad legs). So returning to the accommodation was taxi only for us if your fit, won't be a problem. Would return for another holiday.
