Pelicano Surf Camp

This surf camp had a really amazing atmosphere. A combination of shared and private accommodation made a blended feel between a hostel and a homestay. The owner is a very kind soul and an amazing surf instructor!

It would be nice if the rooms had a fan to accommodate each bed as at night it is VERY hot and the only fan in the four bed room didn’t work. There is only one shower and it is always busy. Maybe an outdoor source of water to help those who just need the sand off them, instead of a full shower, would help as the wait time could be up to an hour.

It’s a nice eco accommodation on the beach. Family business , The food is good and the host is very helpful with organizing transportation.

Lovely vibe, great food and the dogs were a bonus :)

Everything was amazing! The family was so kind and so helpful. They helped give me lifts into town and find good surf beaches. And they have the sweetest pups! It’s much quieter in this area than el tunco which I loved. It was in walking distance from the punta roca surf competition and town square. Heaps of really sweet locals and great food options. The hostel food was AMAZING and well priced. Not to mention the ocean is right outside your door.

Pelicano has been our favourite place to stay so far in our trip ! It feels like home and Ulisses and his family are great hosts. They have super delicious food and smoothies and it’s a very social hostel where we met some great people !

It is just beautiful! The location, the hostel the staff, it is a highlight of our trip. You’re on the most beautiful beach and the hostel itself is amazing!

The staff were super nice. The food was delicious and they had a lot of surfboards to choose from! I would definitely go back to Pelicano Surf Camp!

It was hot and there were mosquitos at night.

Amazing location, literally in front of the beach. Very chill atmosphere. Surf lessons were kinda expensive but instructors will give you good advices. There were a lot of friendy dogs. They provide foods, and nice smoothies. People there are just so lovely.

There were a lot of mosquitos. Sands will get on everything. The urban area of La Libertad is a bit far from the hostel, you will need to uber there, so we end up ordering hostel's food most times (they were very nice). The bed's matress were kinda worn out but it was okay
