Scotland Neck Inn

The Scotland Neck Inn was adequate for our needs. We were in town for a family funeral. We were only given one bath towel and one wash cloth apiece and very tiny bars of soap for hand washing and showers. The hallway and lobby were not air conditioned and not fresh smelling. We were told the motel is in the process of upgrading which it needs.

Nice, neat and clean! The staff was extremely nice and helpful. However, the beds need to be replaced immediately! That was the worst! It was lumpy and caused my back to hurt some kinda bad!

Excellent service

Settled on the Tullie Inn after recommended local restaurant suffered last minute staff shortages. Comfortable and pleasant Gastro pub on Main Street. We were lucky to acquire a round corner table in the conservatory area on the front. Just as well when the “live entertainment” started! Cocktails ordered but two Margaritas lacked essential Ingredient so extra shots ordered. Service was polite, friendly but slow. (It was a busy Saturday evening.). Food was delicious and a fair price. Wine choices were good value too. On leaving we had to walk through the main bar area where the evening’s singer was attempting to entertain with poor sound quality and football on a large screen behind him! Definitely a good choice in the area but maybe avoid the entertainment area.

Great little hotel for the small town of Scotland Neck. Perfect for a wedding or funeral or small business meetings.

A small, older, single story brick motel with just 38 carpeted rooms. Only motel/hotel in Scotland Neck, NC. Well maintained and clean. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and the only ice machine was out of order the 3 days we were there. No food other than one mostly empty vending machine. No drink machine. There were only two ADA compliant rooms - both with king bed. Had made reservation for handicap accessible room with two queen beds based on website but was told on arrival the room booked did not have an ADA compliant bathroom. Was able to get power chair through door into room but the regular toilet without grab bars necessitated changing rooms to a king to have an ADA bathroom. Older rooms had wider wooden doors that accomodated my power chair. Room was more spacious than in new hotels, providing space for power chair to move freely and turn. Oversized bed mattress had ribbing to minimize sheet slippage but also made sliding across bed somewhat difficult. Older mattress was firm and "hilly." Under window AC unit had loose cover but worked well. Outdoor pool not yet open. New owner and wife live above motel and operate facility. Front desk often unattended. New owner friendly and accomodating. Parking available in front of room. Motel was quiet and only appeared to have a few guests. Located on south end of town within 10 minutes of Sylvan Heights Bird Park. Food Lion nearby. Limited selection of restuarants in small town. Italian restaurant highly recommended.

No food offerings . Otherwise perfect in every way. Room exceptionally comfortable.
