Scotland Neck Inn

Electrical outlets on the lamps didn't work...there were 3 total lamps, 2 electrical outlets on each, of the 6 outlets only 1 worked. So couldn't charge devices near the bed but instead across the room. Pillows were flat or hard as a board. Bed was overly springy. The vending machine had 3 different types of potato chips, nothing else. No drink vending machines at all. Tub backed up with water when showering. Check-in was easy, desk person was friendly. The room was clean.

Poor instructions on how to get there! Way off I 95.

Usual amenities for a better than average hotel we’re missing. *Our room had no hand towels and only slivers of packaged soap for showering that were useless. *The shower should have a grab bar for getting in and out of the tub and shower * the lobby had a pungent odor from manager cooking * the room had a kitchenette but no dishes or flatware, no cups or glasses, no dish detergent. No dish cloths or dish towels * no tissues in the bedroom

Surprisingly this off the beaten path motel is quite nice but needs some added touches. No tissues in the room and no hand towels in the bathroom. These and other amenities are what will get better reviews. The pool of course is not available this time of year but no pool cover and it makes an unsightly area at the front entrance with leaves and debri floating in the water. Again, touches needed to have a good overall appearance Friendly staff

They were obviously in the process of renovating. Mattresses were out of the way in what would be the lobby area/ eating area if meals were served. Also although there were stovetops but no pots or pans or dishes. However, the frig was working and we used it for drinks we bought off sight. Despite this, the place was clean and staff friendly and courteous. For our needs there was no real impact as we were therefor a function in the town and most of the time were not in the Inn. May wait until spring and make a trip back as there is a bird park there even though we only live about 1 1/2 hrs away we might stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Scotland Neck Inn. The gentleman at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and clean, with heat/AC that worked well, and plenty of hot water for a relaxing shower. Lots of channels available on a good TV. Would stay here again. Don’t miss the Sylvan Heights Bird Park when staying at the Scotland Neck Inn. It’s a lot of fun!

It's always a pleasure to see the staff when I go there.

Friendly staff, but needs a complete refurb. Peeling wallpaper, fridge didn't work, peeling grout. Area is quiet and safe

Right on the highway so easy to find and get into, Clean, great water pressure. Pillows were firm, which I like, Staff was helpful when I needed it. Very nice Inn. I will go back.

Very friendly attentive staff, room was outdated but clean would recommend and stay again for price
