Clean, comfortable and quiet accommodation near the Portela de Sintra train/bus station (the ‘new’ part of town). I stayed in a single room on the top floor (106) and it was immaculately presented. A convenient small supermarket at the end of the street and a few (untested) restaurants nearby. Staff allowed me to leave my luggage earlier in the day and had it placed in my room for my return.

Some complimentary tea and coffee would be a nice touch. Room 106 had a very squeaky door and I was concerned I would wake my neighbours when using.

Everything is managed remotely through your phone, so be sure to complete check-in, have the access code, and have a working device. The property is a renovated house with lots of modern, high-tech features. I especially liked the contactless light switches, keypad access, and the skylight in my room, which offered great options for natural light and airflow. The room was very clean, comfortable, and minimal—exactly what I needed. The shared bathroom was small but kept clean. The kitchen and common area were nice additions, though I didn’t use them. During my stay, several families with children were also there, so it was a bit noisy in the mornings due to the thin walls. Very nice farmers' market next door, great fruit and bread on the weekends. It also has many restaurants in the marketplace. Location is not too far from the beautiful Sintra old town - nice walk and enjoy the food and the view from many viewpoints. Wish I had gone to the beach too, on my last day in Sintra, I heard it's beautiful!!

You can’t access the building without completing electronic check-in. Unfortunately, my phone died before I arrived, so I waited for a while and finally got help from the neighbors. The owner also operates a store in one of the storefronts. The shared bathrooms were very small and awkward to access, and the property has stairs only—no elevator. During my three-day stay in Sintra, all attractions and castles were closed due to heat and fire danger, along with many restaurants and shops.
