Quiet remote location close to Myllykoski. Basic breakfast, possibility to book a private sauna slot.

Poor soundproofing in the rooms. The dinner was a bit expensive as it was quite simple food. No lunch option during our stay.

The nature was nice

Upon arrival we noticed that our room wc/shower had SERIOUS plumbing problem, digusting urine smell that came to room upon opening the toilet door. As there was no one present in the property in the evening of arrival we had to stay for one night. In the morning we informed about the problem and learned that the room had not been cheked and they had only rooms available next door. Not knowing if there was same plumbing failure there, we did feel like spoiling rest of our vacation we asked for a refund from management as the room quality was not as advertised and expected. The hotel management/reception did not call back as requested. After two days waiting we called back and inquired again status of our refund, an other receptionist was aware about the problem in the room that had beed fixed. She did not know about our open refund request status. We asked them to call back, but againg did not hear anything back next day, three days after leaving the hotel. Sadly it feel like the managment/owner of basecamp hotel does not care about customer experience and satisfaction.

Splendid location in the middle of the forest, close to the Russian border. All in wood: kind restaurant place and nice rooms. An ideal place to start the tral "Pieni Karhunkierros. The buffet was good: the eveningbuffet and breakfastbuffet.

Erinomainen paikka lyhyeen oleskeluun. Kelo-rivitalon huoneisto oli pieni, mutta kompakti ja siisti. Sijainti hyvä patikoijalle. Aamiainen oli perustasoa. Palvelu oli erittäin ystävällistä. Saapumisiltanani pääsin rantasaunaan, joka ilmeisesti ei normaalisti kuulu huoneen hintaan. Sauna oli upea elämys ja uimaan pääsi kivasti pitkospuita pitkin hiekkarannasta.

It was a great pleasure to stay here in the middle of Bear's trail. The room was cosy and warm, breakfasts and dinners were super delicious, 10/10!

Upealla paikalla Pienen Karhunkierroksen varrella. Kaunis ja hiljainen alue. Rantasauna aivan mahtava ja uimaan pääsi puhtaaseen järveen. Huone pieni mutta aivan riittävä yhden yön majoitukseen. Henkilökunta oli uutta mutta tekivät parhaansa. Täydellinen paikka rauhaa arvostavalle.
