Lack of commodities in the room

L'établissement se proclame "dog friendly" avec une affiche à l'entrée, or rien n'est proposé dans la chambre pour le confort du chien et il nous est demandé un supplément non négligeable (30 euros). Aussi le repas buffet était très cher (35 euros par personne) pour quelques crudités, de la purée, de la viande de rennes et une crème dessert.

The location is very good. The rafting project can be booked directly with the merchant. Sauna is very helpful for traveling! All the staff are so friendly! The cabin camp is beautiful!

Poor insulation, a bit cold at night. Turn on the electric heater and it is very dry. Bad bathroom. The shower in the bathroom was outdated and the pipes under the sink would leak and splash water on your feet. The light switch in the bathroom was loose and looked like it might fall off at any moment.

Fantastic location with the Small Bear's Trail just around the corner. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner very tasty with a good selection of fresh vegetables. The room was clean and spacious for one person. I enjoyed the view to the forest. I only stayed two nights during a work trip, but I'd love to stay longer for a small holiday and be able to use the facilities (fat bike, canoe etc.) that the place offers.

The location is really nice for hiking in Oulanka, Myllykoski is 500m from the accommodation. Free sauna is a plus! Basic rooms. Breakfast was really small and simple. Okay for a few nights if you have a car or for all inclusive trip.

We arrived to check in a hour after the check in time had started and our room still wasn’t ready. Without apologies, we got keys to another room where we were able to wait for our room to be ready, but this room wasn’t cleaned either, so it was all really confusing and quite unwelcoming. A better option would have been to offer free coffee and snacks in the restaurant while we waited for our room to be cleaned. When we finally got to our room, it pretty much looked as the sheets and towels had been changed, but the room had definitely not seen a vacuum in a while. There was a big group of foreigners at the same time getting great service, and we honestly felt that the staff was treating us as if we weren’t welcome there. Because of this we didn’t want to stay there for dinner. There’s no fridge in the room, so there’s also no possibility to buy food elsewhere and store it in the room, which resulted in us driving 25 mins to Ruka village to eat way too many times during our stay. The receptionist didn’t tell us anything about breakfast, but luckily we remembered it and went there just in time in the morning. Most of the good stuff, such as Karelian pies and cheese was all gone when we went to eat. No toaster or anything to warm up the bread. Also, I’d be good to add signs for lactose and gluten free products (if there are any). The walls are so thin I could hear the neighbors yawn at night, so can’t recommend the place to anyone with kids or to light sleepers. All in all, I think the place deserves a 7 because of the location, but it could easily get more points with better cleaning and customer service.

Small cabin accommodation well located for an overnight stay after walking the Karhunkierros hiking trail. Very friendly staff and good breakfast and dinner.
