Aotearoa Surf Eco Pods

The view is stunning from the tents and pods. The kitchen is also well equipped.

In the tipi tent there were a lot of ants, also in the kitchen.

The view was beautiful and idea of the accommodation was on the right track

However our tent had mould inside & when we told the managers they said it was dead mould and wouldn’t cause health problem. After staying 1 night of the 3 we had booked, we all woke up not feeling well, one had her asthma triggered off quite badly, so we decided it was best for our health to not stay any longer. No acknowledgment or partial refund, just an offer to get something from the shop to the value of $100. After denying it was a health problem there was an offer if they could get someone else in for the two nights we could get a refund but no contact was made to follow up since then. Mould happens, & is difficult to get rid of we understand, but perhaps for the price not worth the health risk & the not the best response from the business as a whole.

This was a tranquil spot with stunning views of the sunrises. We will definitely stay here again.

We liked the view and the fact that dogs are allowed.

Room was quite small and we had ants in the room. Also it is quite far from the beach, shops and cafes (nothing in walking distance).

Good shower pressure, good view of the beach

Bed sheets uncomfortable.

Great location and amazing panoramic views from the comfort of bed.

Nothing to dislike here but must be mentioned that some of the other residents had food in their rooms and were visited by ants.
