Jegeg Mas Ubud

I loved the secluded location and having a room on the top floor was great because the views were stunning, sunset or sunrise you look right over rice field terraces. The room has a small fridge and drinking water. The staff were lovely and were very helpful with our luggage and having our driver locate the place for arrival. There is refillable drinking water, a small pool and a small garden. If you have a scooter they have parking. There is always someone onsite for anything you need but most of the staff have limited English. The owner was great when we were dissatisfied with anything that he could fix for us, he did his best. The location was good for us as it was close to Titu Batu (our Gym) and two was to get into town depending on the traffic that day. If you're not going to rent a scooter, I don't know if this is the best location for you as it is back a bit off the village road and a bit tricky for cars to get in and out.

I did find the cleanliness not up to standards and the bathroom drain often had a really foul smell. The staff would often miss dirty dishes or emptying the garbage bin. The bed wasn't comfortable and the sheets looked tired and stained with oils from many guests over time. This isn't uncommon in Bali as the washers here are not very strong or good quality. The pillows had some mold (which I'm super sensitive to) so I ended up asking to change pillows and the one given wasn't much of an improvement. The room is much smaller than it seems in the pictures, the room is dull and the TV is inoperable, located above the door practically at the ceiling, really impractical but again not uncommon in Bali. Honestly, for the price, it was fine but there's a lot of other options in Ubud area. I wouldn't return but it's a good budget place for travellers.

This place was one of my favorites while staying in Bali for 2 months. It’s a little guest house located on the country side of Ubud. I was staying in the higher floor room where I had a beautiful view to the fields. I could see how the local farmers took care of the plants. It was so authentic and I loved to watch it! Room is very tidy and smells fresh. There are huge class doors so the light can enter the room easily. Bathroom was cute, having Balinese styled tiles. They offered free toiletries and towels were so soft and they smelled so good! They cleaned the room every day. Pool area is tiny but cute. It’s surrounded by beautiful plants and you can see butterflies flying around. Water was clean and had nice temperature. Breakfast is included to the price and it was so good! They really put in effort to it which I appreciated so much. The owner is an easy going person who always made sure everything was okay. It felt so heart warming when traveling alone. Other staff members were so kind people too. They take care of the property and guests so well!

Cleanliness of the bathroom could be little bit better (found few dead ants etc). There is also temple close to the accommodation and some nights ceremonies were noisy but other than these two things there is no anything to complain!

It was cheap

The location is hard to get to, the room wasn't the cleanest - the bathroom was a bit smelly, there were stains all over the bedsheets, the wall was crumbling, the Aircon was very weak.

We only stayed one night but it was a 10 out of 10. Professional hospitality, many small touches in room that you would expect in a higher end hotel. Staff were super nice. The location is just so tranquil in the rice fields near Ubud, very authentic and peaceful.

Nothing! A note that is not necessarily bad but no restaurant on site so you just have to drive a little for lunch and dinner. Did not bother us.

Spacious room, helpful staffs, free refill mineral water, and internet worked well. The hotel is located in the village with a direct view to a paddy field. We could also see the sunset from the hotel balcony. The pool is nice, although it's smaller than it looks in the picture.

At first, it was difficult to reach the hotel by taxi as we had to go through narrow alleys.

There were stained sheets when we arrive that was addressed promptly by staff; place is a bit far from Ubud: Wi-Fi only worked 30 % of time; far from main area of Ubud; Grab taxi for pick up not allowed unless you walk 3-5 min; laundry was semi wet when paid for full services

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful environment. Ubud is only 10min away by scooter and there are some great cafes a 5min drive away.

We really enjoyed this place. The host was extremely helpful and helped us a lot. Breakfast is delicious and good portion. The pool is amazing. They even had a small rooftop which can be used for yoga or pilates. They have airconditioning which works well.

The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. There is was a bad smell in the bathroom. But the next day we changed to other room where everything was perfect!

Pool was clean and nice. Staff were very happy to help and very friendly. Easy to rent a motorbike. Close enough to explore ubud and far enough to settle down and enjoying silence and the view. There could be better kitchen but it was okay anyways. Good price for these. We deffinetly recommend. We’ve already extended our stay twice :)
