Bay Point Landing

This was our second time here and we are so glad we came back. The little cottage is perfect for the two of us. It had everything we needed for a great weekend. Clean, comfortable and water views. The fire pit and outdoor furniture are nice to relax in.

The property and the staff are wonderful, but i wouldn't consider the town, Coos Bay as a desirable destination.

I gave accommodations a 3 because the showers were not very clean. Another issue in the shower rooms was cleanliness of the toilets.. There was a need for toilet brushes throughout the day. There were several times we didn’t use the shower it was so bad. The laundry room had something dumped one day and it took days before it was cleaned up.

Enjoyed the experience of staying in a tiny home/cabin. Very clean. Staff was responsive to a smoke detector that decided it needed a battery replacement that evening. Very quiet. I would definitely have stayed longer if my itinerary allowed.

I booked a cabin at Bay Point Landing in Coos Bay with high expectations, but the experience was disappointing. The cabin was said to be only a year old, yet there was clear wear and tear. The shower had mold, utensils were bent, cobwebs were in the corners, and the toilet was so small it seemed intended for a child. The floor was uneven to the point of being a tripping hazard, which is especially concerning given that the cabin was advertised as ADA compliant. Amenities were also not as advertised. There was no clear information about streaming services, and while options were available, guests had to use their own login credentials. Staff did not know how to adjust the thermostat, leaving me to research the manufacturer’s instructions online just to lower the temperature. The location and concept of Bay Point Landing are appealing, but the lack of maintenance and poor communication made the stay far below expectations. With more attention to upkeep and clarity for guests, this could be a much better experience.

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate our child's birthday near the sea. The facilities were clean and we were able to spend a special time in an extraordinary space. The staff were also kind and responsive, which left a good impression. We would definitely stay here again.

Location of Bay Point Landing was beautiful and the cabin was nice as advertised but relatively tight quarters. We stayed in a Drift Cabin. On arrival, the wifi was slow and televisions kept buffering with every show or movie. Our electronic devices experienced the same. Multiple items were empty or missing including empty conditioner bottle and empty bodywash bottle in the shower, empty tissue box in bathroom, and no dishwasher detergent or pods in kitchen. I'm not sure if there should have been daily room service to our cabin much like a traditional hotel, but this did not occur. There was a wine glass left in the dishwasher and we weren't sure whether it was clean or not, so this we washed in order to use.

We had a great back- in waterfront site, #16, and amazing weather for our stay. Everything worked great. The office staff were welcoming and friendly. Our only complaint is that there are little plants everywhere on the site that put out burrs that covered our dog's coats anywhere they sat or laid down. They are prickly and even when they walked on the road they got them in their feet to irritate their paws. I'm not sure what you can do about this except spray out your grass areas, especially by the water, and re -sod them. It's a main consideration when thinking about booking again.

What a wonderful facility. Beautiful views, nice walking area, modern facilities. It was a really unique place. The cabin we stayed in had everything we needed. Cabin area had great separation and provided nice privacy. The wind break at the fire place was perfect. The couch and bed was comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. I would have like a better workout area. The cardio equipment was fine but you need some weights. Heavy weights.

It was a very nice experience. I'm not completely sure if it was just the place itself that was so special, or the unusually warm, sunny days we had in September. Either way, it was special.
