Interpass VAU Hotel & Apartaments

Foi a terceira vez que fiquei neste hotel. Desta vez fiquei desiludido. Os produtos servidos ao jantar não valiam o preço. Os funcionário, apesar de simpáticos, não tinham qualquer apetência para trabalhar na sala. Produtos de limpeza no chão junto com os panos que depois iriam servir para limpar as mesas. Bebidas que vinham para a mesa manuseadas pelos gargalos e não em bandejas. Só o pequeno almoço demonstrava alguma qualidade. Não recomendado a 1/2 pensão.

Loved the location, customer service was great and the accommodations were clean. Eating establishment on site and close by. Property is not far from the beach which is beautiful. Also great hiking trails close by.

When we arrived the receptionist was rude and didn’t tell us any information, other than handing over the key and room number. After a few days and heat we realised the A/C did not work and the fridge did not shut properly. Neighbours woke us up at 3am thankfully the guy on reception sorted this issue out straight away! Overall a very tired hotel, which needs a full refurbishment. A hire car is recommended as the hotel is far from any good quiet beaches and nice restaurants. The pool gets over crowded and lots of children running around. The bar staff was pleasant so unsure on the trip advisor reviews. I would not stay here again!

The 4 star rating on this hotel is severely misleading!! Apparently they don’t have any double beds in the entire building !! Only 2 singles pushed together!! They also don’t have any irons to hire or lend to their guests! The jacuzzi has been broken for our entire visit, and despite mentioning it to the receptionist twice still nothing has happened! Despite the food being of acceptable quality, the snacks in between meals are virtually non existent or extremely limited at best ! The all inclusive drinks leave a lot to be desired, with absolutely no branded drinks available at all! Staff are quite rude and unhelpful. The noise of barking dogs kept us awake from the early hours of the morning 😖 Definitely one to avoid!!

Very noisy at night. Pillows were thin and uncomfortable. Supposed non smoking apt. had an ashtray sitting on the coffee table. Bed was as hard as concrete. Smelled smokey causing my allergies to go wild. We stayed the first night only. Luckily we were able to book another spot we enjoyed last May. First time we had to forfeit after only one night.

Checked in to this resort mid afternoon and found it a bit slow registering. All ok until getting to the room. I smelled cigarette smoke upon entering. May have been sucked in from below outside. In a non smoking T1 apt. I find an ashtray on the coffee table. Unfortunately, I have allergies that activate when deodorizers or smoke is present. Anyway, we checked out after one night for two other reasons. The beds must have been Fred Flintstone's at one time. I can tolerate most beds but it was as hard as concrete. As others have said, it was noisy most of the night. We could hear chairs dragging and someone walking around with high heels on. Booked here four five nights and stayed for one only. Relieved to get a short notice booking in another spot we enjoyed last May. Sorry, not our cup of tea!

First and foremost, as it was a special occasion I asked for an upgrade, we got a beautiful suite with a sea view on the 6th floor that we were delighted with 👍🏻😊👌🏻 The room was immaculate and the maid service was tip top. Location was fine, about a 10 minute walk to the beach at most. The receptionists were lovely and went the extra mile. I would just complain about the entertainment/reps. We had stayed someone last year and everyone got involved whereas this time no reps bothered to try and speak to us and all the entertainment was in French which made us feel very left out. We really wanted to get involved but we didn’t get a ‘hello’ or ‘bonjour’ We had also stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago and enjoyed snacks around the pool but this time it seemed like it was all about ‘all inclusive’ and apart from ice creams there wasn’t a selection of food which made us have to go out for food which was disappointing. All in all loved our room, the reception staff were amazing, the bar staff a little bit rude, a good stay but we would definitely have liked somewhere that made us feel more welcome.

Firstly I would like to say that during our say we didn't experience any of the hostility from the staff that some other reviews have mentioned. We actually didn't look on trip advisor prior to booking here, and when we did slightly before we were due to arrive I was slightly worried by some of the reviews from British travellers. But the staff here were first class with us and very helpful when called upon. The rooms are spacious and the standards of cleanliness are high. The outdoor pool area isn't the largest but we didn't have any problems finding loungers. There is also a fair sized indoor pool and jacuzzi. The outdoor pool isn't heated but isn't unbearably cold. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. Just bare in mind that it is about a 30 minute walk from the main town. However, there are plenty of local amenities such a mini mart and a few decent restaurants. The beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. All good stuff.

We arrived on 31st May, 2 days after our lovely wedding. The journey from the airport was in an 8 seater minibus and took us 1hr and 40 mins! We were told our room wouldnt be ready for about an hour so to leave our cases and go and have some lunch. The food was ok and during our stay we always managed to find something to have. Once our room was ready we were very happy with it on the 4th floor looking out to the sea. The room was very spacious and clean. There was also a bottle of champagne for us as the guy on reception had seen our 'Just Married' tags on our luggage, which was a lovely touch. I'm afraid that's where the good report ends apart from the very nice room maids. Every review regarding the rude barman and the French are true. After the first day we were the only English people there. We were totally ignored and felt very isolated. The young entertainment team were downright rude to the point of ignorance. All announcements were made in French and at no time were we invited to join in. The hotel is situated up a drive with a small shop at the entrance. There are 2 local bar/restaurants and that is it. The walk to the beach takes about 10 mins along a main road passing a single Spar shop. The beach is small but beautiful with one side reserved for the couple of hotels across the road and the rest is open to everyone. There are a couple of cafes on the beach but that is all. There is nowhere to go for a walk on an evening. We spoke to a Jet2 rep who agreed this hotel should be taken off their books due to where the hotel is situated and the high percentage of French visitors. We did enjoy our honeymoon because we didn't stay around the hotel during the day using friendly taxi drivers to take us to Alvor and the open top bus to Praia da Rocha. We wouldn't go back to the area or the hotel and would recommend that if you are English avoid both.
