A Friendly Inn at Harvard

A friendly in at Harvard was in the perfect location for my husband‘s Harvard reunion. It was a short walk to campus, and to the reunion activities. The building and grounds are homey and charming. Mr. Wei was incredibly friendly and helpful, and arranged for us to be in a ground floor location, which was much better for me and my creaking knees. The rooms and the entire inn were immaculate. 24/7 amenities of coffee and tea are also a nice feature. Each room also has a small fridge, which was very useful. It’s not a fancy place in anyway but it’s very clean and comfortable and represents phenomenal value. It was also very quiet, a plus! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we’re in Cambridge!

Beaucoup de points positifs pour cet hôtel où je me rends régulièrement: le confort des chambres, la tranquillité des lieux tout en étant à deux pas de Harvard Yard et l'amabilité du personnel. L'architecture de l'hôtel lui confère un certain charme et on a l'impression de vivre dans une maison.

Rien à signaler.

My only complaint was that the person at the “reception” didn’t mention to me that “coffee is available in the kitchen in the mornings”. [I arrived at 3:30pm on May 29th”.] It’s a small thing, but I need my caffeine in the morning, and I did the more inconvenient got-dressed-and-went-out-into-the-rain-and-walked-two-blocks-to-a-coffee-shop. Whereas a walk down the hallway in my stocking feet to the kitchen down the hall on the first floor would have been a lot better. [I stumbled upon the kitchen, on my own, after I had been there for 24 hours. It would have been better had I been told about it when I arrived.]

Die Lage war sehr gut, Preis Leistung passte, das Zimmer war sauber, ausreichend Handtücher und die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich würde gerne wieder dort übernachten. Es hat mir auch gefallen, dass es einen historischen ‚touch‘ hatte.
