East Surf Cabana

Best out of the best. Ideal place with authentic atmosphere and comfort. Spent almost a week with Rafaella and Sudu, it was a real pleasure. Beautiful tropical garden, cosy terrace, romantic evening on safari BBQ, delicious breakfasts. For sure I will stay here when next time in Arugam Bay. Thank you for your wonderful place, for your care and service. All the best to your family and everyone who helps you to run your hotel.

Everything 😀 The room was spacious, comfy and nice. We loved the open bathroom. The breakfast is amazing (we tried Hungry Surfer, porridge and muesli) All the staff is super nice. And of course don’t miss the barbecue safari !

Rafaela and her staff made us feel welcome and we‘re always ready to help accommodate our wishes and answer questions. Breakfast was great - a different variety of dishes was offered. The cabana was nicely furnished with an outdoor shower and a seating area in front.

The rooms have a sort of wooden decoration above the windows, so insects could easily enter the room. If you don’t mind that, than it’s no problem at all.

Big room, comfortable bed, big open air bathroom with hot water(water heater), friendly owner - it was very nice to speak with her in the morning during breakfast, and breakfast was good. In the whole everything was nice. If we will be in Arugam we will try to stay here one more time.

Some things in room needs small renovation(but it's not critical for now). I hope they will renovate soon, because its very nice place with very relaxing atmosphere.

The breakfast was delicious and the room was cosy and spacious.

The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly. You can pay with a credit card, and they offer free water, which isn't common in Sri Lanka

Regrettably, the accommodation did not align with what was advertised during the booking process. It took a 10-minute walk to reach the sea, and the view was more of a distant glimpse across a field rather than a genuine sea view. Furthermore, the cleanliness left much to be desired. A damaged mosquito net and stained towels. It's disappointing because we had anticipated a better experience. In our apartment, there was no full kitchen available; we only had access to a sink, a small fridge, and some basic dishware for slicing fruit, for instance.

We loved the outdoor shower, the beautiful room and the lovely breakfast.. and dont forget the lovely staff.
