Villa Dalu

Villa Dalu in Positano was such an amazing stay for my husband's and I's 3rd anniversary trip! Thank you to Carla Valcaccia for being such a gracious host. Even before the trip - she was proactive in reaching out to ensure we would have the best trip. She booked multiple dinner reservations for us, provided transparent recommendations, arranged transfers, and luggage porters so we didn't have to worry about a thing! By the time we arrived in Positano, I felt I already knew her because of all the WhatsApp messages we had exchanged, and her audio notes - she sometimes would reply at 2am in the morning local time! Even for our departure she booked us a transfer to the Naples train station and a stop to Pompeii (which absolutely is worth the visit by the way!) Each morning - she served up a delightful breakfast with the best pastries. I asked her one day where she bought them, and to my surprise she made them all from scratch! So in Carla you get a wonderful, warm Villa Manager, essentially a full service travel agency and a talented baker - you can't top that! The views from the Villa itself cannot be beat - our last night we drank a bottle of prosecco just admiring the views. It is centrally located, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go to and enjoyed the AC (lol) whenever we needed a break from the heat. And to be honest, I am typically a dedicated lover of hotels, with the concierge and amenities but, had a little sticker shock when I saw the prices of some hotels were per night . With that said, I went searching for alternative options and came across Villa Dalu on booking . com and I am so glad I did! We would not hesitate to stay here again and believe the combination of Carla's expertise, and graciousness with the views and location of Villa Dalu far exceed any expectations!

Lovely welcoming hosts, we stayed for a few days here as one of our destinations travelling Italy for our honeymoon. The location is fantastic! The road it is on has beautiful sunset view restaurants only a minute away all along the road, or alternatively you can go right out of the villa and down the steps straight into the town. Hosts, locations all fantastic. Coffee, cereal and a pastry for breakfast. Iron, hairdryer available, clean air-conditioned room with fridge. Would definitely stay here again if we were to return.

Perfect location. Phenomenal views from the property and windows. Not far from the beach and close to many stops. The SITA stops weren’t impossible to reach, though they were a bit of an uphill hike (could definitely be worse with more steps), but they were super convenient for the area. Would definitely stay here again! Carla is super helpful and kind. She’s an amazing host!

The location of the property is great, within walking distance of everything. Carla is fabulous, she assisted us with everything we needed, she booked private cars for us, made dinner reservations for us where we were seated at wonderful tables and had amazing meals, she shared her nail salon location and made an appointment for me while my husband relaxed at the Villa. Carla either made us wonderful croissants every morning or paid for us to go to a local cafe. She is very informative of the Amalfi coast and Positano businesses, she was always available by text too. It would be nice if the property owner either installed a small pool or hot tub on the property, the local beach wanted $60 euro for two lounges and an umbrella which isn’t bad if you’re planning on being there all day, it was the same cost for one hour which is what we wanted and a washer & dryer would be great too. We made ferry reservations ahead of time, Carla also assisted us with where to check in and what ferry we’d be on and what time to get there.

Carla is an incredible host and I will stay at Villa Dalu every time I come back to Positano. You will not find a better bed&breakfast. Excellent location, very safe, and Carla could not have been more welcoming or helpful.

We had an amazing stay at Villa Dalu ! Sadly I broke my ankle on the first day and need surgery but Carla Valcaccia wouldn’t let that ruin our vacation. She set us up with an amazing driver who even gave me her crutches! Carla made us the most delicious breakfast each morning, made sure we had everything we needed, and kept arranging porters and drivers for us throughout our trip. She even found us a fantastic cooking class close to the hotel, dropped us off and made arrangements for us to have a driver pick us up. I can’t say enough about how wonderful she was. We feel completely blessed that she went above and beyond for us ! If you are looking for a quaint place to stay with a beautiful view and an amazing hostess this is the place!
