Thatched Eaves

We stayed at the cedar suite, a one bedroom apartment which was built to the highest specifications , which also included a veranda which looked out onto the gardens. The room had a king bed with a comfortable sized lounge and bathroom. The bi folding doors opened to allow you to sit and enjoy the garden from your room. The garden consists of mature trees ponds which flow into each other which attracts a large variety of birds which you don’t often see in the city. You could spend an afternoon or longer just enjoying the gardens. There’s lots of nearby quality pubs and eateries nearby, the long beams next door serve good food and a great pub to visit is the Royal Oak. Lots to do in the local area, but also a great place to just sip and relax. The biggest assets are the hosts , Alice and Andrew, and Alice’s delicious breakfasts. Would definitely recommend to friends and plan on returning next year.

After staying there this time last year when we got engaged, we chose the Thatched Eaves for our “minimoon” after eloping to Ringwood, as one does. Alice and Andrew really went out of their way to make our stay perfect, right down to becoming part of our special day by kindly agreeing to witness our wedding (not a service generally mentioned on Booking.com, but there you go!). Everything was just as great as our first stay and fully justified our decision to return. The place truly is a gem (it makes a very good postcard). Alice’s breakfasts were still top notch also. Thank you so much both of you, truly. We hope to be there this time next year too!

The Thatched Eaves is now our No. 1 choice for a place to stay near the New Forest. We stayed in the Cedar Suite which was beautifully appointed, modern and stylish with a lovely outlook over the garden, and it was spotlessly clean. Alice & Andrew were the perfect hosts, and breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay, and look forward to returning soon.

We are a family of 4 ( boys -12y and 2.6y) and we just came back from our short break .I'm so happy we found the place and would definitely visit again. We had a lovely time. The accommodation was spotless, with an amazing attention to details. The breakfast was delicious .Alice and Andy are lovely hosts. High class service in any way. The pub next door was a bonus too. I would highly recommend the place.

Thatched eaves is lovely for a quiet relaxing time. It’s situated next a lovely pub too. Food is lovely there and the guys who own it are brilliant. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.

Thank you Alice and Andrew for making our stay and my birthday a memorable one. Very much appreciated the Prosecco on our arrival and the daily delicious breakfasts you cook for us. Our room is kept clean and beds are comfortable. All the very best to both of you🙂

We wanted to be away from everyone so loved the individual, private accommodation. We felt away from everyone. Everything you could possibly want has been included. Breakfast is delicious, I loved the local smoked trout. My husband loved the full English. Alice and Andrew are fabulous hosts.
