Thatched Eaves

Cosy suite in a lovely setting worthy of a storybook fantasy. The breakfast was delicious - we had the Full English on our first morning and varied our choices on the second day to lighter options (we were due to meet family for an early lunch). The bacon and fried egg sandwich I had and the avocado, chilli sauce and poached egg on toast my wife had were superb. Alice and Andrew were attentive to ours and other guests' requirements without being intrusive or rushed The general feeling was one of being able to take one's time, enjoy the lovely food and soak up the surroundings.

It's not a big deal, but I was a little concerned that the shower tray seemed designed with insufficient fall and spilled water onto the immaculate wooden flooring in the bathroom despite our best efforts to avoid that. I meant to mention it to Alice or Andrew but the next conversation we had went in an interesting direction and it slipped my mind. Overall, the worst part was having to leave :)

We had a wonderful weekend - thank you so much! The property is stunning and Alice and Andrew were very kind, generous and very friendly hosts, making us feel very welcome. Everything in the room was perfect and breakfast was delicious. Clearly a lot of time and effort has been put into ensuring guests have a lovely stay. We will definitely be back!

Everything was exceptional. Alice and Andrew were the best hosts making sure we have everything we need. The location was great and modern, the rooms were exceptionally clean with a home feeling and the breakfast was delicious. This place is by far better than any 5star hotel I have ever been.

We had a lovely time here with a brilliant breakfast and fresh local lovely produce. The room was lovely and cosy with lots of nice little extras.

The suit was absolutely spotlessly clean and the attention to detail was incredible. I would put it up there with some of the 5 star hotels in London. I know that’s a big statement but I’m struggling to think of anything that would make this place anything less than outstanding.

the only tiny thing would be the parking space was a bit tricky to get in to with our Range Rover.

We had a very comfortable 2 night stay in The Coach House. Alice and Andrew could not have been more welcoming. Fabulous attention to detail, thoughtful amenities and breakfast which was not only delicious, but which set us up for a day of shopping in Winchester. Thatched Eaves comes highly recommended.
