Hollywood House - Sleeps 10 Guests

Very nice house which was situated in a terraced street. Only a 15 minute walk to Cardiff city centre

The response from Mike and Delphine was exceptional. They were super quick to respond to our issues, delivering the goods themselves within hours along with a bottle of bubbly and a box of biscuits.

None of the beds had mattress protectors on when we arrived, this was quickly rectified by Mike and Delphine. It became evident after the first couple of nights that the mattress in the front bedroom was significantly worn, to the point you could clearly see the dip on either side. The bed sheets were also not what was depicted in the pictures online and were instead cheap, worn polyester. We were lucky enough to have been able to borrow some cotton sheets from relatives. There was nowhere to store anything and we had to live out of cases for the entire 8 day stay. There was a hanging rail but no hangers, no draws or surfaces to put anything. I vacuumed the carpets during our stay and it was evident they had not been thoroughly done in quite some time. The area was dreadful, parking a nightmare and we were kept awake most nights due to people walking past, talking loudly well after midnight, as well as a house party which went on until gone 3am, two doors down. Although we acknowledge these are environmental issues and nothing to do with the actual property they are important things to be aware of especially if travelling with young children. Whilst we appreciate this review is quite harsh, we feel it's necessary and we are certain that the issues we experienced within the property can quickly and easily be rectified.
