Villa La Preziosa

This is an exquisite family run villa which has been lovingly restored. It is a charming hotel with hands on low key service . The breakfast is all you would wish for. I can’t heap too much praise in respect my experience there. It is ideally located if you want to avoid the heat and crowds of Lucca which is but a few minutes drive.

Nothing but wonderful things to say about the grounds, villa, rooms or the lovely family that runs it all. On top of it all, it’s in a great location to get to Lucca or Pisa in a very short time.

Everything was perfect and more. The property was gorgeous, all the details in the villa and in the yard are amazing. But the true beauty are the people, staff that are working there. Most kind and wonderful people we met. We are thinking of having a wedding there. The best vacation we had so far.

This beautiful villa is situated just outside the main city of Lucca. If you don't have a car, you can easily take a taxi from the train station, which is what we did. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a smile and some delicious wine. We spent three relaxing days by the pool, enjoying spritz made with their homemade limoncello from their own lemons—the best we've had on our trip! Without a car, we chose to rent bikes from the villa and cycled into the main town, which was a delightful way to explore Lucca. We also walked to and from the main town one day, as we love walking. Since the villa operates as a B&B, there’s a great selection of breakfast options available. Before your stay, they will send you dinner recommendations. For those without a car, the villa offers light lunch options and pizza for dinner. On two evenings, we took a pleasant stroll and discovered Regine Pizzeria with amazing pasta, Kelpero Pizza, and Gelateria Angiolino for dessert—all about a 15-20 minute walk from the villa, depending on your pace. The hosts are incredibly friendly and enjoy getting to know their guests. We can’t wait to come back to this place. Thank you for hosting us.
