Super Hotel Sapporo Susukino

i always stay in Superhotels when i'm in Japan and this was my first time in Sapporo to attend the Snow Festival. the hotel's location is perfect. just two blocks away from the street where the ice sculptures are located and is surrounded by food places including the Ramen street (which i'm not impressed with by the way. they call it a tourist trap and rightly so). like any other superhotel they have good facilities polite staff, good breakfast (imagine eating chicken karaage in the morning.... yummy!) and free drinks from the vending machine for breakfast. they are also just walking distance from the Odori park where the HUGE snow sculptures were located. everything was within proximity to this nice hotel. my only suggestions are that they should offer Roasted sesame dressing for their breakfast salads in place of the 5 they currently have, and hopefully they could offer memory foam bed toppers specifically for those with bad backs bec. superhotel beds are TOO FIRM. it's difficult to have a good night's sleep.

We can choose a favorite pillow. The queen-size bed was pleasant. There is natural hot spring at this hotel. It takes 5 minutes for location on foot to Susukino station, but it's a little incomprehensible, so I think it's better to use a navigator of a cellular phone.

This hotel is small but fully equipped with all required facilities. It's a great choice for business trips and even for your holiday. They also have onsen room with towels, bathing gown, soap powder, body lotion and others to serve you. And the hotel is just at the nightlife, shopping&eating out part of Sapporo, you can always find a great restaurant and bar to hangout. And if you walk back to the main Sapporo Station, you can spend about 2-3 hrs visiting Sapporo TV tower, Sapporo Clock Tower, Odori park, and the Old Hokkaido Government House. Besides this, breakfast here is great.

i just love this little gems, walking distance to the shops and restaurant, although a bit far from the main sapporo train station... the service is good although the staff don't really speak good english, but they are trying to help and we are communicating thru google translate :) the room is tiny but clean, the toilet is very very small, if you are not comfortable, you can go to use the lobby toilet, it is bigger at the lobby... the hotel is very clean, and there is no swimming pool, i am rating for the hot bath facility next to the lobby, there is only one pool, so you need to follow the schedule for male and female... and they serve japanese breakfast with some bread, i have no problem with it, in fact i like it very much... overall, this is a very good stay and i strongly recommend for this place...

It is good for low budget like me to stay in super hotel. Super hotel is better than other same level hotel in term of BREAKFAST!

Super hotels are like supermarkets chains of hotels. It's clean, it's inexpensive, modern, no-frills. The rooms are small but enough for 1 person. The room is a bit dark but clean and cosy. Remember to close the door when taking the shower (to avoid the alarm going off). You get a breakfast of bread rolls, toast, miso-soup, rice, fish or chicken, pickles and vegetables. The drinks vending machine will be free of charge during those hours. Onsen available in select hours, but the place is tiny. Take the Toho subway line from Sapporo and get off at Toho-Susukino station.

I was looking for a cheap room that could accommodate 3 person (all students) and I found this. No reviews were done in english so i just went ahead as superhotel is a chain hotel. No regrets. Only downside is the english speaking staff will only come in for duty at 3pm. Breakfast are provided every morning. And you can actually have your choice of pillow. (soft, hard, semi soft). Rooms are very small. You can see from the photo that when we place 3 luggage, we had to crawl on the bed to cross over. Overall, good and clean room for the price!
