Avon Inn

Jen was a friendly and thoughtful host. We had a lovely stay.

The inn is beautiful. We were personally escorted to our room which is lovely and has a charming atmosphere. Everything we need is taken care of.

I was so pleasantly surprised when we got to the Inn! My parents and I had two rooms for four days and three nights. They had dinner one evening and said it was delicious. The rooms are super quaint. The beds are comfy. The whole place is absolutely spotless, which is difficult for an old historic building. My dad and I were saying they must clean it with a toothbrush! The attention to detail is obvious. There's a pool table in the lobby. The continental breakfast is small but it's so much better than the ones you find at hotel chains where you know they all use the same vendors. The little blueberry scones were the best I ever had. I took some for the road! They had fresh muffins too, warm from the oven. Then there's coffee, juice, cereal, bagels and English muffins. The staff was fantastic, very pleasant and easy to chat with. Absolutely recommend.

We were so happy with our visit we plan to return! Every possible need was met including helping with our bags upon arriving. Our dinner was excellent with excellent service as well.. I had been to the Inn many years ago and enjoyed a breakfast chat with Jennifer about history and updates. Very warm comfortable stay!

All of the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, very informative with the area for suggestions on dining and events.

Wonderful experience all around.. Bed was beyond comfortable, Inn was nice and quiet and staff were very accomodating.... We will definitely be booking a future stay here again when we come out to visit our RIT student.

The Avon Inn was a nice, quiet hotel lace to stay. The restaurant was great and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Only heat was an air conditioning/heating unit directly above the bed... very noisy... no sleep. Although the room was tastefully decorated, attention to detail in the cleaning and room prep was lacking. Large cobwebs in corners, 1/2 roll of toilet paper provided. Continental breakfast was minimal. Piano player in the morning was drowned out by hard rock being played through the speakers. Like I said... attention to detail was lacking. Staff were good when they were around, but they disappeared after 8pm. Not a good experience overall. Unfortunately could not recommend to friends.

This is a very beautiful historic inn. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the Keurig, coffee and water provided. Notable was the decorative ceiling tiles reminescent of the tin squares of old; lovely. The owner was gracious and very attentive to our requests. Having a wonderful restaurant on-site was not only convenient but our meals were exceptional.We heartily recommend staying at the Avon Inn.
