Casa Velero Puerto Morelos

The location was excellent. The "managers" at the facility residing in the officina did not speak or understand English and it was difficult to request service and/or supplies (e.g., toilet paper, another towel, etc.) The room was alot smaller than the pictures in Booking.com. The host was absent during the entire stay. . .don't know if he resided close by or what. The bed was hard; the pillows were flat; the sheets and towels were threadbare; and appliances were horrible condition; curtains were old and dusty. For around $100.00/day it was not worth it!

Location close to pier, beach, all amenities. And good size of space and that it had a modern refrigerator and toaster that worked. Toilets flushed.

Hardly anything worked. No hot water in the kitchen and very poor water pressure. Barely any hot water in bathrooms. Everything old and broken. Broken coffee pot. Sliding door very hard to open and close. Cockroach in one bedroom. Green decorative light in alley shining into the bedroom.

Comfortable bed and good AC. The location was wonderful - right next to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and downtown area. Lovely 2nd and 3rd floor outdoor areas with plentiful seating and view of the ocean - really the highlight of the whole hotel. We often took our food out onto the covered veranda to enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean and the cool breezes. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

The rooms needed more attention. Doors stuck, hot plate overheated and turned off, toilet broken (ended up moving room because they didn't get it fixed), just so many things that were just not in good shape. With a bit of TLC, the hotel could be much more welcoming to their guests. Also, though there were the basic amenities for a kitchen, don't expect any consumables - I even bought a scrubby for the dishes.

Host was very friendly, room was larger than we expected and had a lot of useful facilities like hangers for clothes and a small kitchenette so we could prepare simple food. Very close to puerto morelos beach.

Room - stove ( 2 plate cooker) did not work properly, no oven,no under blanket between mattress and sheet,had to keep blinds closed all the time for privacy as the passage goes past windows .Limited space in comparison to other similar priced accommodations.

Nice Staff. Good location. Nice pool. Common area with tables was nice. Air conditioner is good.

Ants. Many ants in the kitchen. Dirty room at check in. Broken (Coffee maker, toilet, safe, blender.) I got Electric Shock from The hot plate. Roof top needs maintenance. Sewage smell Very strong. Showers don't work well. Front gate not locked. Windows don't lock. My booking says a seperate bedroom. This was a studio. One BBQ on rooftop not nice. Our mattress was broken on one side. Kitchen light did not work Very Dusty room.

Great location, close to beach and grocery store. Smart TV. Reasonable internet quality. Bed was comfortable. Lucy (the housekeeper) was a delightful lady, always smiling and trying to be helpful.

Kitchen was very poorly equipped on arrival, but the housekeeper found us a few additional items from other suites to make it just about usable. Folding wall-table would not stay upright until staff propped it up with wedges (which kept falling out). The safe didn't work, even when a key was found for it. We were told we would get housekeeping services every three days, but we got none unless we requested it, which we settled on doing once a week. Clean towels always smelled moldy before even using them. Bad leak from the bathroom sink faucet, shrugged off by staff, so we had to keep a cloth on the floor to catch the water. Often there was no hot water, just air coming out - each time that happened we sent an email, then the maintenance guy would come and get air out of the system; it would work for another day or two, then happen again. Upstairs common area was filthy so we didn't use it. Lower common area / pool area was more pleasant, but there was no daily cleaning - often we had to wipe off the tables and chairs before we could use them; the seat cushions around the pool were always soaked, and caked underneath with black mold. The lock on the property entrance gate didn't work, so there was nothing to stop anyone from wandering in.

All in all I have no complaints and all was good
