"Great location with a great host"

The location was excellent. Very close to many places of interest and 2 subway stations. The host was exceptional. He took the time to show us around the property and then give us a thorough review of many sites in the city. He also explained the best ways to get to the different sites. This is the Best property I have stayed at that I booked on Booking.com! I would highly recommend this property.

Great location, near the subway and the heart of gion. Host/owner is great, he is very helpful. Giving us many ideas for places to see.

As a big guy, I found the bathroom small. But it was functional. Stairs are steep.

Great place to stay in Gion area. Owner was very helpful and told us where to visit and how to get there. Walked us to the apartment from the station.

There was pressure to keep noise level down and couldn't run washing machine between 10pm and 10am. This added stress with 2 loud young children so I wished I had known this earlier.

"Great location and appartment which was roomy and clean"

Great location and spotlessly clean very central and near to gion area and train connections

No storage at all every cupboard was full with bedding and towels for the next guests

Location close to main street.

Beds not comfortable amd pillows hard. Floors were not clean. Exit light too bright. Washroom on main floor too small and tight. Shower curtains dirty. Location hard to find and did not get info for self checkin until very last moment after host originally was going to pick up then cancelled for ski trip. House key hard to use on door every time to unlock. Stairs very narrow tricky for kids. When we first enter house was very very cold and took a while to figure out heating. Very cluttered not a lot of space.

"great location, lots of room; pity about the light on all night."

located near busy Gion and Kawaramachi area so easy walk to station, shops and restaurants. having upstairs and downstairs toilets was good. also had a balcony to hang washing on. Hayata-san was helpful and very informative.

the exit sign in the downstairs sleeping area was so bright it was like sleeping with a light on all night. otherwise bed was comfy.
