Guest House Chara

What a wonderful stay, the hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home. They even had a takeaway coffee ready for us the day we left. Would highly recommend for a true authentic stay in Japan.

What more can be said that others already haven't? We stayed for 5 nights and we very well looked after by our gracious & helpful hosts. Very comfortable, very clean, very happy guests :) Great supermarket nearby in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. Thanks so much. We'll be back again for the Neputa!

Hosts are nice old couple who are very eager to please and advise. They can give information about where to go. The restaurant they recommend is very good.

As we share the house with the host, we find the house is cluttered with a little too many memorabilia. They tell the story of life in the house, though. Ofuro is not available for use.

Great owners, kind, picked us up and dropped us off at the station.

Location, infrequent public transport nearby but we rented a car. About 20 min walk to the castle and 35 min to the station

Host's hospitality, helpfulness and friendliness was the key highlight. Especially enjoyed Chara time!

Our stay at Guest House Chara in Hirosaki was perfect. The couple who run this clean, charming place are thoughtful and make every effort to enhance the comfort of guests. They love a friendly chat, can speak some English, and provide an excellent breakfast free of charge. I highly recommend it. It's also within driving distance of the castle and apple patk in Hirosaki and not too far for a day trip to Shirakami Sanchi National Park for walking in the beech forest.

Everything was perfect.

The hosts are wonderful people, they are very inviting, and the space is a cozy hideaway in a residential neighborhood that's not too far from shopping and food.
