White Palm Uluwatu - Wellness & Recovery Retreat - 2 Min Walk to Balangan Beach

L'Hôtel présentait un cadre très sympathique, jolie, original. Le personnel était appréciable, serviable. L'accueil très chaleureux avec une boisson rafraîchissante, le port de nos bagages. Cadeau de départ avec des bracelets symboliques de Bali. La patronne a compris nos critiques quant à la surprise au Check out et a été totalement compréhensive et donc nous a fait un large rabais sur les éléments cités. Nos attentes concernant cet hotel étaient haute en raison d'une publicité importante notamment par des influenceurs.

Malheureusement des travaux étaient constamment présents dans le terrain à côté, si nous ouvrons les rideaux, nous nous retrouvions à la vue des ouvriers. La chambre était propre mais avec de plusieurs insectes (inévitable ? éradication faite ?). Nous avions la chambre avec "jacuzzi", cependant c'est une simple baignoire avec un remplissage relativement lent. La même chose pour le pommeau de douche, il n'y avait que peu de pression et il fallait le tenir le robinet pour pas qu'il s'arrête. Un scooter était prévu d'être réservé auprès d'une agence local mais au final, ce n'était plus disponible, nous avons du prendre un modèle plus cher. Le dernier élément concerne les propositions de l'Hotel (Laundry) qui nous avez été annoncé comme 50'000 rp/kg et au check out nous étions largement au-dessus en raison d'un tarif express (non-annoncé). Aucun prix ne nous a été indiqué pour le floating breakfast et donc nous avons eu une surprise à la fin au check-out. Après discussion, la patronne a compris notre point de vue et nous a fait un rabais sur les choses inattendues précédentes.

Not a negative, but you would need a car or scooter to get around easily from this area of Denpasar if your goal is to play tourist. Otherwise highly recommend for getting away from the city to relax on the property or visit the beach.

A little piece of paradise tucked within a 4 minute walk to the beach. Quiet, tranquil, relaxing and quaint. Breakfast was Delicious. Staff was sweet and accommodating. We just checked out today and I already miss it!

White Palm markets itself as “eco-chic,” but it’s really just glamping with better marketing — overpriced, underwhelming, and designed more for influencers than actual travellers. Don’t let curated photos of models in full brim hats fool you. Unless you’re (a) a pro-level surfer (and I mean expert, the waves are elite class), (b) a social media personality who loves posing with swing sets and floating breakfasts, or (c) someone actively trying to disappear, I wouldn’t recommend it. We stayed here on our honeymoon — our most expensive stop — and were disappointed almost immediately. The pool was dirty and heavily chlorinated (despite being advertised as “saltwater”). Construction noise next door made relaxing impossible. Villas were hot, poorly ventilated, and full of giant insects. Mosquitoes devoured us nightly, even with repellent and long sleeves. You can’t bring in outside food or drinks, and while the on-site food is decent, it’s overpriced. Towels smelled weird, and its lights out at 11 p.m. because apparently you’re 9 years-old. Also, you can’t tip staff directly — it all goes into a communal envelope. Not sure if all of this is customary… There’s also a portion of your payment that goes to a charity — not disclosed anywhere in advance. A head up would have been nice to ensure values are aligned. We were encouraged to text the owners with any concerns. They were in Paris. Of course! Nothing says Bali like managing your “eco-hotel” while on airplane to France

The staff are lovely, the food excellent, the cocktails are great, the pool is nice and the rooms pleasant.

Probably a bit over priced for where it is. Not easy to walk anywhere particularly interesting but good for surfers.

Piccolo hotel , molto curato , soprattutto considerando gli standard dell isola. Colazione buonissima e inclusa nel prezzo, e stata una piacevole sorpresa. Staff molto gentile e disponibile.

Enjoyed the daily complimentary breakfasts and chats with other guests. Petra and all the staff are lovely and always available to help out. Our room was clean and tidy and very comfortable bed. We enjoyed that it was a quiet place to stay and unwind on holiday with beach and other resorts close by.
