Lantana House

Great location. Beautiful house. Very clean. Wonderful breakfast.

I added a review on another site, but my two nights stay was wonderful. The hosts were very friendly and shared things to do, places to go. There were lovely breakfast buffets each morning. I will definitely consider another stay here.

The Lantana House was an incredibly affordable option for the area. It was super close to town and easily accessible by car. They also had a dedicated parking lot for one car per room, which was also great. The continental breakfast has fresh fruit and breads, which was perfect before a day at the beach or walking around town. The inn keeper was very responsive and kind, and both gave us space to enjoy our trip and chatted with us to make the experience personal! The inn was also impressively clean despite having a lot of Tchotchkes around!

The inn was a bit dated. It was certainly not the bright and beachy inn you might expect to see near the beach it was more of an old-school New England inn. The only real downfall was the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable and so very hard, I think sleeping on the floor on the rug would have been softer. It seemed like a bed from the 90s when "firmer the better" was the motto. I think a simple mattress upgrade would make a world of difference. The shower was also a very small stall shower, which was perfectly fine for us, but might be of note for a guest that may need more room in the shower!

We loved how easy a walk it is to enjoy Rockport. Lots of shops and places to eat. There is a convenience store right across the street if you need anything. The innkeeper was very nice and helpful. A new quilt on the bed would go a long way, but don't let that stop you from staying at this sweet little place!

The room was exceptionaly clean, close to the beach, and within walking distance to everything.
