Everything was clean and in good order, though at a minimal level, as you might expect from the budget price.

Getting into the property and checking in was a bit confusing, until a staff member arrived. She was very helpful, but there seemed to be an expectation that entry and check-in would be done without human assistance. Same with checkout, though just leaving the key was no problem.

Location was perfect for me, the room was basic but overall adequately clean. The person on reception was friendly, the person at breakfast seemed pleasant too

The aircon. I'd complain about the parking, but this time I didn't drive and already knew parking was an expensive extra. The lack of kettle, table, wardrobe, shouldn't bother me because I wasn't going to use them and this is a "budget" room, but I feel these are basics in every hotel everywhere. The absolute biggest problem, and the reason I'd be demanding a refund if I thought I'd get anywhere with it, was the ac doing nothing other than mildly perturbing warm air, whilst making the occasional death rattle. My entire stay was based around getting some rest upon arrival, and as it was an oppressively warm day I chose this hotel due to the presence of ac so I could relax in moderate comfort for a few hours. Instead I gently roasted like a casserole in a slow cooker before giving up on the idea of rest entirely. When I came back at the end of the evening I maybe managed 3 or 4 hours of complete exhaustion sleep before waking up much too early and much too warm. I personally don't consider over £70 to be "budget", and I do expect the advertised features to be present and useable. This room, with its lack of many things and excess heat in the summer weather would've been maybe acceptable for half the price paid.

There was no breakfast as the area was way too busy and the food wasn’t coming out of the kitchen fast enough. I didn’t end up eating that morning, in fact 2 of us didn’t eat which is very poor considering it was paid for. The room was surprisingly small and bare. I was only there for two things. Sleep and breakfast.

My room had no window. It was very difficult to get a good night sleep as the AC was noisy and got stuffy without it.
