Merinja Guest House

Patrick is an excellent host - he took great care of us and also arranged a last minute flower farm tour after our guide cancelled! We felt like at home! Also chef Young is truly a gem - literally an undercover celebrity preparing the best breakfast and dinner we could wish for! Just check his YouTube! And not forgetting the 2 little doggie helpers - Snoopy and Gucci ❤️❤️ Would highly recommend to anyone to stay here - especially seeking for the relaxed family vibes!

It was such a good decision to stay at Merinja Guest House! If you prefer to feel like home, be well taken care of and connect with locals over pretentious, soulless hotels, then this place is for you! You really feel like staying at someone's home, although a huge one 😄 My room was spacious, perfectly clean and had a super comfy bed. The host is lovely and so welcoming. And please, when you stay there, don't miss out on Chef Young's delicious and hearty dishes. I'm sure it's much better than anything you get when you eat outside, and it's such a good amount for a really fair price. And healthy as well! The wifi was working well. The garden is amazing to enjoy the breakfast in the morning, or to chill in the hammock when you come back after Longonot or Hell's Gate, or to just hang out with the dogs Gucci and Snoopy. 🥰

Very comfortable rooms. The entire staff is great. Attention for detail. Very nice food as well. So yes, this is a fantastic place to explore Naivasha and its surrounding from.

Merinja Guest House is located in a quiet area of Naivasha (100KSh boda ride from the centre of town). The property itself is large, tree-filled and tranquil (apart from noisy birds). The rooms are spacious and comfortable . What sets the Merinja Guest House apart is two things: 1. Patrick, the knowledgeable and friendly owner of the guesthouse. Patrick is always available to assist and is extremely flexible in accommodating guests’ requests. Thank you, Patrick. 2. As the guest house is a little far from town, thankfully the food offered is great. Most of it derives from Patrick’s farm. The chef, Chef Young, is courteous and responsive to guest’s requirements and requests.

Awesome staff!

The place was very nice, wifi working even in the room, very nice garden, where we have had our meals, but the best thing on this accomodation were people, everyone was super nice and friendly.
