"A hidden gem is the best description I can think of for this lovely guest house in Naivasha"

The property is beautiful with its garden and nicely decorated common areas. The staff and especially Patrick, the owner, go out of their way to make you feel at home. I particularly enjoyed the dinners with Patrick and other guests who had also chosen this option. A place to full-heartedly recommend and go back to.

"Feel at home with Patrick"

The best of Merinja is Patrick, the host. He and the staff (Caro and Chef Young) make you feel at home. All the facilities are in good condition, the room is spacious and charming and the food of Chef Young and Caro is fantastic, dinner and breakfast. On top of that we enjoyed a night cooking with them.

10-15 min walk distance to town, but you can pick up a taxi or boda.

"Excellent stay"

Top quality stay. Patrick was a great host and went out of his way to make my stay a comfortable one. Chef Young made amazing food each night. Although it's not near the lake, Patrick arranged a wonderful driver called Charles who took me to all the different activities and also to Narok for the Masai Mara.

The fact that I had to leave!

"An awesome stay with the most welcoming and helpful host!"

The house was great - on a quiet beautiful street with many flowers. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dinner was delicious. Patrick was wonderful; he took such care during my stay. Provided excellent recommendations and helped me navigate local transportation and provided an excellent taxi driver that I used to go back to Nairobi and around Naivasha. He provided regular check-ins, which were very nice as a solo traveler. It felt like I had a friend I could rely on for all my questions. Highly recommend when staying in Naivasha town.

"Best place to stay in Kenya!"

It's the best place I've stayed in Kenya so far! Patrick is a legend, so helpful and attentive to all guests. And Chef Young cooks amazingly always! I had an astonishing experience there and wish I could have stayed longer. Wifi is excellent, showers work perfectly as well. The garden and the two dogs just make you feel at home, always.

"Treated like a king and queen!"

Absolutely wonderful stay! My husband and I were treated like a king and queen! The owner, Patrick, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Chef Young cooked amazing meals, catered to us individually. We were treated like family, not just guests. The grounds are lovely. Had beautiful breakfasts outside. Truly a special stay! Thank you so much Patrick for making us feel so welcome. 😀
