the staff is very friendly, always with a smile. the food is good and fresh, the rooms are cleaned every day.

the beds are not comfortable at all. i could feel all the springs in the matress, my back hurt the whole week. the rooms were cleaned every day - but not the whole room.

A beautiful location, walk right out of the hotel into a hike in the forest. Friendly and kind staff made me feel at home. Very spacious room with an amazing view! Would love to come again.

The bed was a little hard but really everything was wonderful.

Beautiful place for rest! Very tasty food, polite staff, clean and comfortable big rooms, very good swimming pool. Monastery and walking places for tourism.

I recommend to put signs about forbidden smoking, incl. electronic cigarettes everywhere and especially in the swimming pool because some of tourists are not enough intelligent... As well to give penalties for tourists who are smoking in their rooms (this is a practice in many hotels in the world) because after them it is not possible to clean the smell....

A fully renovated former communist-era hotel on the slopes of Vitosha mountain. Quite close to Sofia, highway until ca. 10km to the location, with a good local road. Clean air, total stillness in the evening, friendly staff, a huge room with the usual amenities. A nice restaurant with some fancy options as well (e.g. vegan and vegetarian). A "half-sized" swimming pool, yet swimmable (there was no one around for the one night my family and I were there), quite warm, with lots of "equipment" around (e.g. swimming masks for kids), towels, a few beach-style beds. A Turkish spa next to the pool, fully operational. Additional offers at commercial rates (massage, a "Russian spa", whatever exactly that is :). Also a small fitness room (the usual - two gladiators, a bench, and a few barbells and dumbbells, there must have been a bike or treadmill, can't exactly remember), along with a table for pingpong. In the reception, several pools and table soccer. The receptionist did not want to charge us as there was no one on the particular day, but they charge most activities, e.g. pingpong 5 BGN for a half hour, etc. There is also a small "children's area" with dolls, toys and the like in the reception. A few nice tracks to walk in the woods around the place, plus a monastery within a ten-minute walk.

A few minor issues not totally justifying four stars: e.g. there was no place to dry the towels, bathrobes and swimsuits in the room. The heating comes from an external AC device, which is cool, but there were no radiators or anything. Likewise, the breakfast was of good selection, but not the best of quality (e.g. cheese, salami, and stuff). There is no real parking lot in front of the hotel, so basically cars should make a long queue along the parkway. Again, this was no big deal as we were almost alone in the hotel, but the receptionist told us they were expecting a full house on the weekend - then it can probably become an issue.
