Montage Healdsburg

This was our first visit to a Montage property. The location is beautiful, set up a hill amongst vineyards and oak trees. We loved the large patio, fire pit and the sounds of frogs interspersed with complete silence. Stargazing was wonderful! Everything in the room was five star, spacious and lovely. Walking everywhere was enjoyable. They provided drivers on golf carts to pick up and deliver anything you might need and drive you back-and-forth to the spa/gym/bar/restaurants. We did not have time to enjoy the spa or the pool on this visit. Casual dinner in the bar was delicious, but as other people have noted, the service was a bit slow. Breakfast this morning in the restaurant was delicious and beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Rooms were comfortable, but very spare and overpriced. Service was sorely lacking. It took several calls before Guest Services answered, which was problematic when trying to get a cart to make it to dinner reservations in town. We sat in the restaurant for 30 minutes without any service. When we walked out, the manager found us to apologize, and comped our drinks.

Beautiful location and property. Rooms were really great and the view and tranquility of the property was outstanding. Loved the car service provided to guest to drive the 10 minutes to Healdsburg square for dining etc! We will definitely return to this property! Great service!

We just returned from a three-night stay with our family and one other family and it was incredible. Everyone - the valet team, front desk, bar staff, housekeeping team - was first class. I’ve noticed, particularly after Covid, that service at many higher end hotels has really declined, but that was not the case here at all. The service was some of the best we have had in a long time. Any request was met with a yes. Everyone was warm and welcoming but also remembered things like what we had ordered for breakfast the day before or which stuffed animals my kids liked. We were blown away by how above and beyond the team went it make sure we had a nice stay. One of the hostesses at Hazel Hill greeted my five year old with a huge hug each time she saw her. The guys at the valet remembered our kids names and gave them rides in their golf carts. I forgot my jacket at a winery about 30 mins away and mentioned it when we got back to the hotel. One of the members on the valet team overheard and went to the winery to get my jacket! I wouldn’t have even considered asking someone to do that and it was just so truly above and beyond. The housekeeping was better than most hotels - clothes folded perfectly, shoes organized, our things thoughtfully placed, stuffed animals in my daughter’s crib delicately arranged, etc. And finally, each time we called the front desk for anything we needed, it came quickly and easily. We really had zero hiccups the entire trip. I am mostly focusing on service because it was just so above other hotels in the area. (We stay at Stanley Ranch quite often, and while we love the property, there is no comparison on service.) But I want to also note that the property itself is beautiful and the location is fantastic. It’s close to many great vineyards and a quick complimentary ride from the hotel to downtown town Healdsberg. It was a wonderful trip and we will definitely be back!

Super slow service but immaculate grounds. It’s dog and child friendly, which is such a relief, but we struggled to find a trash can anywhere on the property except for at the lobby. Would stay here again with the expectation that things will take much longer to get to you. Also surprised they only offer valet parking (didn’t see self parking anywhere) but it comes at a surcharge. They don’t tell you this but add $42 per day to your bill at checkout.

Very peaceful property with the friendliest staff.

The property is lovely. It is a peaceful, serene setting. The staff are very welcoming. The food at the bar was delicious. They easily accommodated to my request for the use of olive oil in place of butter, when cooking. I appreciate that flexibility. The spa is comfortable with staff who work hard to ensure your needs are met.

We had a wonderful experience at Montage Healdsburg! The staff were all friendly and helpful, everyone was so nice and accommodating. our room was lovely with a beautiful view. There was a lovely vibe, all the buildings were designed to fit in with terrain and landscaping, so they didn't detract from the beautiful views of the vineyards and rolling hills, and the live oak trees. The spa was lovely - attentive staff, amazing massage! It was great to have the restaurant, Hazel Hill, as well as the bar/lounge, and "general store" coffee shop. Very convenient and delicious food. Enjoyed riding the e-bikes, and walking the grounds. All in all, we had a wonderful experience!

Every person we came in contact with was helpful & kind. We felt completely taken care of on our honeymoon. It was perfect!

Outstanding service and accommodations. Great food and bar service. Beautiful gym. this is our fifth time staying there and we would always like to come back. The grounds have really grown in beautifully and the vineyard looks great. The staff is always outstanding.
