Everything was excellent from start to finish. The apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore Cardiff and access local amenities. The check-in process was smooth. The apartment was quiet, well-maintained, and offered great value for money. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend The Spires Serviced Apartments Cardiff to anyone visiting the area.

Great location – everything is within walking distance. The property was easy to find, and collecting the keys was straightforward. We did have an issue with our first room, as it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. When we opened the window, a lot of ash blew in, which confirmed the smell. We contacted the host, who was very helpful and quickly upgraded us to another room, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the second room wasn't ideal either. The host was very apologetic and even offered to move us again, but we decided to stay where we were and get on with our trip. He was responsive, helpful, and genuinely did his best to resolve the issues, which we appreciated.

The first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, so we were upgraded to another room, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the second room did not appear to have been cleaned properly. Some of the issues we noticed included: -Tea cup marks on the bedside table in one of the bedrooms, along with what appeared to be left overs of adhesive plasters. -Fully formed cobwebs in several areas. One was wrapped around a window handle with a spider in the middle, which meant we couldn't open that window as we are scared of spiders! -I counted around 10 spiders in my bedroom and bathroom, and noticed two spider nests in the apartment -Window sills were dusty, with dead flies and a dead spider left on them. -Mirrors had not been cleaned and were visibly dusty. -Shower gel was missing from one of the bathrooms (this wasn't a major issue as we had brought our own). -An empty serum bottle had been left in one of the bedrooms.

Great staff. Clean. Can’t beat the location. Apartment was spacious. Kitchen had just about everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend!!! Thanks for a great stay. Adam and Stephanie

Our room was baking hot - there was a fan running when we got in there and it had to stay on the whole time even though it was raining outside!! Room fairly small and you could hear everything going on in the next room - thin walls!

First impressions of the apartment was great but after a few nights few things did start being an annoyance. Location is great and away from the noise and busyness of the city. 15mins walk to the castle and the centre of Cardiff including the train station. Apartment well equipped if you wanted to cook- I didn’t but was good to know that if I had wanted to it was available. Shower was nice and hot and had very good water pressure which I have learnt is rare in the UK. After a few days staying though it was clear that there is things to improve on. The apartment was a sauna even with the outside temp being around 15 for the whole time. Windows open and fan didn’t do much to help. My apartment and bed also was directly next to the fire door to the lift and stairs and the door banged so loudly everyone someone went through it so had 2 nights being woken up at 1am. Also the bed was so uncomfortable as where the two twins zipped together the bed sunk a heap so you ended up rolling to that spot. You also could feel the zip and springs so much, time for a new mattress or a good topper when the double bed is in use. There was a strange light above the door which even though it had attempted to be covered over lite up the whole room all night. I also went to plug in something to charge in the PowerPoint in the dining room but noticed it was coming off the wall so that’s not very safe. The seal in the base of the shower was also coming off the wall so lots of water was getting down the side of the wall to when you used the shower.

We arrived at the apartment on the Friday and stayed till Sunday, the location was great, just a ten minute walk from the city centre. The rooms were clean, all the windows were open when we arrived and the cobwebs in the windows were disgusting, you could see them straight a way stretching in the corners, you can’t tell me the cleaner didn’t see them! The showers were good and easy to use, bed slightly uncomfortable because it’s two singles pushed together, so it dips in the middle. Parking….after ready the reviews about parking I was worried we wouldn’t fit our car, we were allocated our parking space on the day of arrival, and anything from 1-3 is good, 4-7 would be VERY tight, 7 would be nearly impossible to get into, luckily there was only 1 car when we arrived and left so getting in and out was no problem. If you are worried about parking, there is a car park literally right next door to the hotel.

Location, facilities, ease of check-in- all great

Paid for car parking & allocated a space onsite, our car is not small& we had a nightmare manoeuvring & could only fit in one space. Luckily free spaces. However rear parking only suitable for small cars. There was only 1 taken. Not sure how it would work.if more in use as very limited space. We had concerns about neighbours opposite- very loud arguments throughout the night into early hours which kept us awake. Old office building which is converted well, but windows only fractionally open so.limited air& was quite warm.
