Kusatsu Onsen Guesthouse Gyoten

I decided to go to kusatsu onsen last minute and this was one of the few options available. The remaining options were wildly expensive. For it's price I couldn't expect much. It's just a guesthouse to sleep essentially. There's laundry machine, shower, bathrooms, small place to hang out.

The host he's amazing ! The localisation very good, we can do everything by walk.

I loved this place. It was so easy to hang out and enjoy the common space. Loved the vibe!!!

Cute guesthouse. The Japanese style room was comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and clean. It was up a small hill but close to the town and everything. Good value.

Clean, and good price

Staff was friendly even when we made a booking mistake and had more people than anticipated. Futons were very comfortable and it's nice hostel vibes. Owner/staffer made us tea with some friends.

We were reminded to be quiet a whole lot. Understood it wasn't a party hostel at all, nor was that what was expected, but we weren't really being loud in the first place. Seems like maybe larger groups of foreigners have given trouble before though.

The property was in a good location and the facility was clean

The staff was really racist and was stereotyping the nationalities even before giving us the keys to the rooms. Maybe he might have bad experiences and it is normally okay to just tell the guests to be mindful and all but he was doing everything way too excessive and that made all the time uncomfortable. Also the fact that we just were in only to sleep through the night and still felt this way tells how annoyed we were with the whole nagging.
