Very comfortable beds with big shower. Excellent Japanese breakfast in the morning.

It did not have a gym

Exceptional hospitality, stunning food, and traditional aesthetic with modern amenities.

The location, the friendly staff, the big room with all the facilities and amenities. Bathroom was big and clean. I think it was the cleanest hotel where we stayed up to now in Japan. Also, it’s very silent and it’s easy to relax. We could have breakfast looking at the garden, which was beautiful.

Some of the staff does not speak English well, it was difficult to communicate sometimes. Staff is very friendly, but everything is slowly done. The breakfast is delicious, both western and Japanese, but it takes 30m at least and it was not clear when we booked. Had to run a couple of times. We wanted to have dinner there but the latest we could book was 5:30 since last order is at 7. Too early for us unfortunately but I am sure it was delicious like breakfast was! Only real bad note, I have to say, was WiFi. It would not work at all most of the times, as if we were too far away from the main source.

Great staff and spacious and modern room that’s rare for Kyoto. Bed was soooo comfy but had bed bugs .
