Great atmosphere with a relaxing and peaceful environment. Located in an area with amazing views, waterfalls, great restaurants, grills, shops and friendly happy people. The staff are very caring, helpful and look after your needs. They also provide breakfasts and have a menu for Indonesian food too.

It was in a very beautiful location. Bam - BanG was so kind and helpful to me. Always offering me free tea and coffee and made sure I was well prepared for my Mt. Rinjani trek!

The host here really looks after you like no other host did on our whole trip. There are a couple of waterfalls, the path to them beggining only 10 minute walk down the hill.

We booked a trip up Mt Rinjani at the hostel as part of the group and found out later the others ones in the group had paid quite a bit less. However the host helped us on so many ways we didn't begrudge this too much

The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Water pressure is really good. Unfortunately, I did not have time to do the mountain climb, but the price was very reasonable.

Although the owner is super friendly and helpful. His English is a little bit limiting causing organising of plans to be made difficult and a bit confusing at times.

Super nice view! The cabins are closed to the streetside, so there's a lot of privacy. The neighbours do a guided tour and have an amazing garden full of herbs and spices. I was talking about some ginger coffee that I drank along the way and they offered me to help me make my own, with roasted organic ginger and coffee beans from them. Sadly I spend most of the day in my room because I had a migraine and was nauseous. I did go to the monkey forest and got to see some black longtailed monkeys (I don't know the official name) and I tried the veg curry, which helped with my nausea and the veg omelette and pancakes for breakfast. Every hostel does a pancake, but this one was super juicy and flavorful. I think the bananas are baked first and then the batter is added? Not sure. There was hot water and wifi in the room, which was perfect.

The pressure from the shower was less than the pressure to pay a guide.

Had the nicest stay here. We had the most fun with singing, drinking and just laughing together. Loved the vibe and the people we met in this town. The owner was so thoughtful and caring too and brought us to the sunset and even the ATM further away. Terima Kasih! Vera & Svenja (Mabuk).

Basic bungalows but good value.

the room may lack certain comforts you may be used to if you are not a super budget traveller but the host makes up for it with great hospitality. he is attentive and is always suggesting activities or places to go together or to eat dinner together, often without charge. the location is walking distance from everything there is to see in the vicinity. I did not do rinjani and he made sure I saw everything there is to see. also dropped me off at the bus station for my connection to bangsal for a small price. there is WiFi but you may have to ask for it to be turned on (does not reach rooms). the best price in town, thanks for everything!

sometimes electricity/water is not running properly for short intervals. could be a bit cleaner around washbasin and bathroom.
