Hotel Partana

Great stay at Hotel Partana. The rooms are big and clean and the bathrooms are spacious as well. We visited in early January, so it was chilly at night but great temperatures in the day. The hotel is located next to a collection of food options: a food truck, coffee shop, ice cream shop, and the restaurant Finca Altozano. You're also on a great street for the region, with fantastic wineries and other restaurants (like Laja) down the street. The cleaning people did a great job cleaning up our room every day and the staff was friendly. It's a no-frills stay, but it's very pleasant and quiet. One thing to note: the floors get cold in the winter! Haha. Slippers are provided, but they're still chilly. Overall, great value and highly recommended for the location and general niceness of the stay.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Hotel Partana and really enjoyed our stay. Reservations were made via Airbnb. Pictures of the room and description of amenities were accurate. I highly recommend coordinating a time of arrival as staff is on property only limited hours. GPS ETA is accurate (we crossed Otay Mesa border and took the toll road; ~$6 USD each way for the toll). Though nobody was on property full time, there is a list with contact information should you require anything. We didn't have a reason to contact anyone during our stay, so I don't know how fast or responsive they may be. The 6 rooms are private and comprised of 3 freestanding structures (i.e. Rooms 1 and 2 share a common wall), each with a separate entrance and a designated parking space. The path from the parking lot to the room is loose gravel, so be prepared to carry your luggage, including up 5 or so steps. We were told the hotel had only been open for a few months (I think around July 2018), so everything still looked quite new and was nice and clean. There is a spacious closet and a bar area with complimentary bottled water and Nespresso coffee pods. As it was quite chilly during our stay in November, we appreciated the heater, which worked great in the room, though, unfortunately, did not extend to the bathroom. The only complaint I had was that the sink in the bathroom did not appear to have hot water. However, the shower worked great and had plenty of hot water. Housekeeping arrives daily. This hotel is centrally located, being not more than 15-20 minutes driving distance to a majority of restaurants and wineries in the region. After a full day of wine tasting, having two highly rated restaurants on property, Finca Altozano and Animale, is more than enough reason to stay here. I also recommend trying food at their permanent lunch truck in an Airstream trailer (Lupe) and coffee at Das Cortez coffee stand. As if that weren't enough, the property also has a gelato stand, a small boutique, a garden to roam around, a petting pen of goats, pigs and chickens, and beautiful seating areas overlooking the vineyard. There is a security guard at the entrance when the restaurants are open, though, the area felt quite safe during the daytime and at night. This was our first time in Valle de Guadalupe and we really enjoyed our stay as well as the restaurants and wineries in the area. I would highly recommend staying here.

When I started planning my trip to Valle, I was really worried about not finding a decent place to stay. All places were either extremely expensive or a basic motel. Luckily my friend found the amazing new Hotel Partana. Rooms are stunning, and the washrooms are 10/10 by California standArds. If you are looking for a full service hotel...this is not. But if you are looking for hipster accommodations within walking distance to some of the restaurants in the Valle, this is it! On the same property as Animailion and Finca Altozano.
