Hostería Paraíso

This is a most beautiful setting, absolutely perfect for the get-away stay that I was looking for. And staff oh, so helpful and courteous and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Vilcabamba, but especially for someone who wants to relax in a quiet, peaceful environment.

Breakfast was good. Location was too close to the road. Wish it was closer to town.

A friend and I traveled to Hosteria Paraiso for some relaxation and that is exactly what we experienced. Although I made a mistake when booking, the staff were able to accommodate my friend's mobility issues. The staff were some of the most helpful and friendly I have encountered in quite some time. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay excellent. The pictures are true to life: the tropical plants, the steam room, the whirlpool, the hammock - this place has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff arranged a massage and it was one of the best I have ever had! It's a short walk or a $1.50 cab ride into the village where there are multiple restaurants, and shops. I would absolutely recommend Hosteria Paraiso.

The internet is not strong enough for online work so make sure that your cellphone has sufficient data. Smoking is permitted in all public areas. Multiple dogs are always in the restaurant.

All around, an excellent family vacation spot! The grounds are stunning with beautiful gardens, the pools are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly! This is a wonderful destination for families...there is a big playground and a warm kids' jacuzzi next to the pool. The massage I got was one of the best massages I have EVER had- highly recommended! We had such a lovely, relaxing time as a family. The front desk lady is one of the friendliest people ever, and super accommodating.

The cabin (2-story with 1 bed and bathroom downstairs, and 3 beds upstairs) we stayed in was very clean, and the bathroom was modern. There was, however, a strong smell of humidity, and the upper floor was very hot, and there is only one tiny window. Although screens aren't common here, it could be useful to install in that tiny window to keep the window open, but the bugs out all night. The wonderful staff offered us a fan, and we requested a second one for the second night. It appeared other rooms on the property were newer and may not have these issues. We are a family of 4, so we stayed in the family cabins. Just a heads-up, for people with younger children, the stairs inside the cabin may be a safety issue.

Very friendly and helpful staff, an excellent breakfast and a nice quit room. The facilities include a swimming pool, Turkish and Finnish sauna and a hot tube whirlpool. A hammock in front of my room to relax. Couldn’t be better. The hotel includes a restaurant for lunch and dinner. I had an excellent diner. The hotel is excellently based for walks and hikes in the mountains along the river. Highly recommended.
